Thanks for video! I had B1 version. It is good station -> for plastic pen / 3d printer shaping 😂 Let me tell you my story.😅 Mine B1 worked 2 days 😅 then tip burned off completely. So I first bought a brass bolt to use as solder tip 😂 worked better than original 😂. But then I found chinese $30 very small station 900m and its better in everything (today can get + heat gun for 50.. lookup “882d 900m") Lidl use nonstandard screw tip - china uses 900m which are very reliable, cheap, common - and can be retinned if burn (with zinc-chloride, aka pipe soldering paste). China 900m heats in 10 seconds to 300C.. flexible cable.. pen is short to tip, much lighter.. all thing much smaller, does not use table space. Only problem I had was not tight contact between heater and tip: easily solved with aluminum foil wrap around heater.. So I would keep this station if you plan to buy 3d printer, for plastic melting its very good.
Nice! Thank you info. I found this station reaches the working temperature slowly but once there it's steady. Good station for the money, I'm using mostly the little TS100, which is faster and easier.
936 is MILES better than this. It uses "900m" tips! My station is 950 btw. Viocaia uses TS100, which uses different tips and is even better than "900m". Btw, all "900m" soldering irons have problem of loose contact between heating stone and tip. This can be solved with few wraps of aluminium foil around the stone (yes, works!), makes them close to Ts100 in maintaining temps during heavy soldering.
I've bought this station today with 17,5 RON = 3,52 EURO from Kaufland 75% discount because box it was open and last product. No very powerful and the cable is very rigid. I will change the cable with a silicon flexible cable. I have no big expectations but useful as a temporary replacement because my old solder iron from eBay is broken
