PARKSIDE Electric Scarifier / Aerator from Lidl, how to scarify the lawn 

I brought one 2 years back and I tend to use the pins on the highest setting better results

I bought mine today 13/5/22. Used the scarifier on very dry soil at 3mm deep for the 1st time and did a decent job. Next try at 6mm on little wet soil. I will come back to comment.

Use a rotary mower with a collection box/bag on a high cut height to suck up that debris.

What a great video! Love how you also show the results without the bag and the different methods of collecting the thatch if you don't use the bag.

How many times a year and when do you recommend doing this to the grass?

It comes with a collection bag but you decide not to use them wasted time raking the lawn. Why?

Super tare videoclipul. O sa fac si eu unul. Sistemul de colectare lasa de dorit mai ales pe ultima treapta. Am facut si eu niste teste si pana la urma tot fara sistem am facut. Am adunat iarba uscata cu masina de tuns iarba. E mai usor. Spor si Bafta cu canalul de RU-vid.

The motor has burnt out...where can i get a replacement part?

First I pass de lawnmower, then the scarifier. After doing the job, I pass the lawnmower with its bag again and collect all the leftover grass. The bag fills up too quickly and it isn't practical.

What does it do exactly? Does it cut the grass or just leave a mess behind it. It's hard to make out what it does

So its scarifier not airator! You punch cores into lawn when airating. This is simply a scarifier

First off, that's not even close to being an aerator, This pull the dead thatch layer from the lawn, allowing the lawn to breath, take in water and thicken up with over seeding. aerating is pulling 3-4inch plugs out of the lawn allowing the soil to breath and preventing compaction, usually this is accompanied by top dressing and over seeding. both have the same desired result but are far from the same machine, also used under different circumstances.. 164k views and no information.

This item had terrible reviews from those who had purchased it. Burning out after only a few uses, lack of cables and fixings, and overall very poorly built. Don't be fooled by the price. Buy cheap pay twice!

If it’s from Lidl I’m surprised it lasted the duration of the video

Looks like cheap Chinese rubbish. It won't last long. I had a Qualcast for 4 years of heavy work. Can't believe it's so difficult to replace it with anything as good.
