Hello. Your tool hadn't had a problem with speed control or speed 5 or speed 6. You used the orbital function with concrete while you shouldn't. The orbital function opened up the shaft and allowed dust to get in eventually clogging the machine. The mechanism inside isn't in a closed shell but it is wide open, subjectible to saw dust to get in and clog the device. The motor was overloaded causing the burn. You can actually hear the sound it makes , when the dust penetrates the interior
@i.g.unboxidea probably your model had a manufacturing defect. The o-ring that seals the inside of the tool could be missing. But since you got a new one , all good. I myself was forced to change it 2 times. The main shaft had a lot of play. After 2 tools, I managed to find a proper one without any play.
@@i.g.unboxidea This is a problem on any device that has electronic speed control. Each device requires cooling after a certain period of operation. If the tool gets hot, it must be cooled. The same is the case with De Walt, Bosch and others.
