1 year later ... The tool is available again in Lidl UK and I purchased one yesterday for £16.99 less £1.70 with 10% token. All was obvious except for the drill V alignment accessory. Your clear description is way better than the leaflet. I am now able to sharpen my drill bits with fair precision. Thank you.
@@ElectricEarth@ElectricEarth I haven't tried that yet, been concentrating on a stash of worn HSS drill bits. It does claim to be suitable on page14 of the instructions but not for serrated knives.
Just bought one of these and found this guide perfect since the booklet had no pictures and those attachments confused me a bit initially. Thanks very much 😊
The price of these stations in croatia went in price(24€) and people didnt buy them when it was cheaper (15€) so now they sit on shelves . I saw identical one in Kaufland for half price but it was my project brand (sometimes its good ,quality can vary just like parkside its all made in china in probably same factory )which is red -identical machine. For drill bits maybe it can be useful for someone not skilled in hand sharpening but rest of functions look flimsy .Stone is too coarse for knife sharpening ,and like you said chisle attachment wobbles too much . For drill bits i would save and spend more money and buy a holzman drill sharpener with more functions. It doesnt look like a useful machine ,it lacks in build quality . Keep doing your reviews it helps people in decisions. I many times watch videos like this to determine should i buy it or skip it.
buy it. the stone is course for the first 2-5 times then its perfect for knife sharpening. I got one, ruined a knife with it while teaching myself how to sharpen(i am experienced stone sharpener) then i got the hang of it and now i have sharpened 50 knives or more. Its not gonna make a beautiful edge but if you have cheap kitchen knives that need a lot of sharpening its gonna be more than perfect, just dont use it for the 200$ knives :) (or at least i dont)
Thanks for the demonstration, I won't be buying one then... :P I only really wanted it for sharpening chisels, but I was worried that the small radius of the wheel would gouge the cutting bevel too much.
