Shaun Apellido Winston is the most brütal metal singer around imho. That said, the singer of HSB is pretty brütal himself. Which makes this song a great cover all the way.
They are pretty awesome live. But I don't know. Killswitch engage and machine head I think are the best live bands. Killswitch engage play as if it's the cd playing itself. Howard Jones was beast live and Jesse leache as well. Robb Flynn from machine head hits notes nearly perfectly and Dave McClain on the drums... the most underrated drummer ever. Amazing live! This was a great cover. Parkway drive did it justice.
yes Parkway is legit as fuck live but slipknot was the best show I've ever seen. I'd give Parkway the 2nd spot. and slipknot has way more money to put into the stage setup so not too fair of a comparison. rock on either way!

What a great cover! I still love listening to this. It sounds EVEN better than Heaven Shall Burns own live version from the Summerbreeze back then. It's awesome how insanely good Winston sounds when he sings heavier songs than Parkway Drive is usually playing. I'd love listening to covers from Parkway Drive of other HSB songs... like "Endzeit" or "Hunters will be Hunted".

First Heaven Shall Burn song I'd ever heard - the song that started my love for the band so many years ago. Saw HSB in concert the only time they were in the states (that I know of) and holy shit, they killed it. Nice to see PWD covering it!
The vocal performance here was astonishing and I love how into it everyone in the band is, they performed this better than Heaven Shall Burn did in their prime, also the song is just fucking brutal in general it’s everything there is to love about metal
Holy Fucking Shit... während ich vor ein paar Tagen die Unrest Version von HSB doch ein wenig kritisieren musste weil Markus überhaupt nich mit dem PWD Stil klarkommt, so knallt mir hier der Winston alles weg was ich hab. Ging los und ich hatte schon Augen größer als n Tennisball. Absolut unfassbar wie die The Weapon They Fear gecovert haben. Unfassbar großen Respekt dafür. Da sieht man halt doch wieder warum PWD die beste Metalcore Band der Welt sind und das Winston ein absoluter Gott ist. Ich muss fast zugeben das mir das besser gefällt als die Original Version o.O

Deadset. I often come back to this cover, just to listen to Winston’s growls and lows , I’d fucking love a heavy parkway drive album again, even what he did with thy art is murder, heaps of lows and screams , I’m not bias but I prefer the 2012- 2003 era but don’t get we wrong their new stuff is great, I listen to it all

Wow and I thought Heaven shall burn were the masters of cover versions. Amazing job by Parkway Drive, they prove that they can go as heavy as they want.
He doesn't man, Parkway is one of the few bands in metal today that is real enough to actually play the right way live. No backing track, no pitch correction or auto-tune in the vocals. Winston really is just that fuckin brutal haha, he's one of the best screamers in the history of the genre for sure, if not the best.
Fur shure there's a lot of "echo" effect especially if pay attention to deep blue tracks, there's a little echo almost Always. But Winston is very very good I really like how he sings
Now this just shows you that parkway can throw down in my opinion that song was better than HSB version Would of loved to of been there live that pit would of been so fun I love the part where Winston is like where Gunna go a little parkway on this shit and my God did that last part slap 🤘🤘

Winston's vocals + the great mixing job here = one of the best recordings of PWD I've found yet. I assume they recorded the rest of the concert... Where can I find the the rest of this show?
camoronL They're pretty selective for some reason but they have a few other Parkway videos from previous concerts that sound just as good (or close to it) just search for Parkway Drive on their channel.
Fuck I remember rocking out to this song in high school, wish parkway would release a cover album, holy fucking shit did they kill it, especially when they added some PWD to the mix with that breakdown🤘🏽😈🤘🏽
The single vice grip is amazing...it is different but I personally loved it I would recommend finding it downloading it and see what u think...also I will be purchasing the album I usually don't condone stealing music but I couldn't help it I have been waiting for this album for years and I will be paying for the album anyway but I recommend finding this song and listening to it a.s.a.p
As a gib HSB fan I have to admit that PWD did cover this song pretty well (better than HSB covered PWD with "Unrest"). All my respect 4 this. Love PWD though, too :D
Man I loved this song when it came out in 04... then PWD came onto the scene in 05 ... So fuckin awesome to hear these nostalgic sounds blend in an exciting way - excellent song choice and I'm glad they took the bridge section and Parkwayified it... Parkway isn't too good at subtlety so it was a good call to just fuck it and break it down ;)
