Never Not Inspired Beyonce Grammy's would be impressive if she was actually competing against anyone in her decade. You had Madonna, Mariah, Janet, Michael, and other established and we'll deserving artist like Monica, Brandy, the list goes on and on. Beyonce couldn't have competed in that Era of Grammy recognition. She earned those Grammy's by default who was she competing against? I think Beyonce has legendary potential but she does not have a legendary career. Here is why, years from now we won't remember majority of her songs because they are not classics they are not original and some of her best songs are just other versions of other artists songs. Her music catalog is also horrendously awful. Even her top 10 or 5 or even #1 songs lack substance and are not classics. She is a great performer and should be recognized for that but I don't think she is the best who ever did it but she definitely deserves recognition on that front.

davidcici11Evolution The thing is it's not Beyonce's fault that there is no one that could compete with her vocally. To say she wouldn't be able to take the heat back in the 90's is simply not true, she would of adapted just like she's been adapting for the past 17 years. People don't understand that Beyonce's discography is filled with songs other than sex, possibly even songs that would have been popular in that era. Her album 4 proved that she could compete vocally with all those women mentioned. Also what are you talking about people wont remember the majority of her songs? Single Ladies? Halo? Irreplaceable? Hell even her songs from Destiny's Child. Beyonce has broken records, and pushed boundaries. She has constantly set the bar for the people in her industry. She's just as good as anyone on the legends panel.

Star power she couldnt compete against Michael, Prince, Janet and Madonna or the rising star of Aaliyah or other stars from other genres musically in the 90's I failed to mention some other ones. All you have nowadays is Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry. When comparing decades to the talent that was in this industry the one that was in the 90's is not even close. She had her moment because no one was their to outshine her, perhaps besides Rihanna who has in some opinion more success based off chart positions and singles. If Aaliyah never died she probably would of took longer to establish a solo career to the magnitude of success that she has now. Sasha Fierce represents a "Phoenix which makes sense because after Aaliyah died she rised to prominence out of the ashes. Single Ladies isnt a masterpiece, irreplaceable good song but is it really remembered, timeless, or a classic? Maybe 2 a Beyonce fan yes, but to a casual music fan no. Does her music have substance? When you listen to a Beyonce album do you hear different themes, different subject matter, different types of songs? Not really, her best songs in my opinion are remakes of other people songs. She lacks creativity and originality. Her songs are catchy and are fun songs but they are nothing more than that. She has a few songs, that can be deemed somewhat classic. When you compare her to legends of the past some of them have songs that are being sampled being remastered and sampled by current artists, Janet and Michael are best known for this type of trend because Janet and Michael have very good catalogs (and so does Madonna ect). Beyonce can put on a show and sing and do all that, but to be the greatest you got to do more.

She is the first and only African American woman to have all of her albums come at #1 plus destiny child albums all came at #1 as well so at this point Beyonce honestly has nothing else to prove, she's the only artist who can release an album with ZERO promo or a release date and it will still outsell anyone else because everyone knows how good her albums always turn out because she never disappoints so please stay mad that she is in her own lane
