Hi Phil, I totally agree with you about the brickwork between the tram tracks, which I also like. It actually gives a bit of an old worldly atmosphere, with a type of cobblestone look. Some of the area looks a bit like along Burwood Highway here in Melbourne. Also, the Benaud Oval stop looks somewhat similar to a tram stop that we have near Hawthorn. Actually, you are giving me a bit of inspiration to to some walking and talking videos near tram tracks here. I remember having work shoes fall to bits on one occasion. Fortunately, I was on the way home at the time. I had new shoes, but I wanted to get my money's worth out of the old ones. By the time I reach the house, most of my old shoes had disintegrated. Love the great wide streets there. Also, well done catching an excellent view of 2170 passing. Anyway, take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.
I really dig how they allowed a green electrical connection box to be in the middle of the footpath, at 5.00. Impaired pedestrians must love that! What speed do the trams travel at in the open sections?
perfect timing phil with confirmation today L4 and testing ramping up to operating hours 5am-1am. so there will be plenty of trams out and about over the next month or two before opening
