The location doesn't matter when callibrating. The reason for callibrating (especially drones that are a few years old) is to reset the instruments like the compass, accellerometer and such. This is needed when the drone moves around in your bag. On the Parrot, I would callibrate before the first flight in each location. It shouldn't need it for the second and third battery.
I love the way you explained the process and the review is great. Thanks for sharing, I will definitely share this with my brother that is into drones. New family here
Hey all, a question regarding connections I could really use some help with as I have a charity shoot in the woods tomorrow ... I thought the drone used its own connection to function. But whenever the general wifi / cell service is bad, I have a hard time connecting my controller to the drone. Can you please let me know if I need to have cell/wifi coverage for the Parrot Anafi to work? Is there anything I can do to remedy the situation? Thank you!
Hey Shawn. I just bought the Parrot Anafi and I am having trouble getting my iPhone 11 to connect to the FreeFlight6 app. The drone and controller are connecting but my phone won’t recognize me being connected to the controller. I am using my iPhone charge to connect to the controller. Do you have any advice?
I downloaded app and installed update ...now the drone wont turn off. I pressed button and it blinked red lines then it when green again. Also recalibration said failed then it turned on as calibrated?
I bought a same drone, i can fly it using controller. But I'm having a problem on phone, i can connect it to drone wifi. But in app it says not connected, and it can't detect the drone inside the app
Hi A year ago I bought my anafi 4k drone and I haven't been able to use it since. The freeflight 6 application asks me to update my controller and the drone, the controller updates it well, and the drone update advances to the firmware download, from there, it stays in the step it says sending to the drone. I haven't been able to use my drone since I bought it and haven't received any help.
That stinks... I do not have a solution for you. You may need to reset everything and try again. Check out the Troubleshooting section of Parrot's site. I would try this first: www.parrot.com/us/support/anafi/how-do-i-restore-my-drone-to-its-original-firmware-state
2nd part to the question do you have any skycontrollers you wouldnt mind parting with ?? alll too expensive for just 1 can give you roughly a hundred AUD...too
Hi I've got anafi and It won't connect to the controller? When plug the controller in, it opens the app, but doesn't connect to the drone. There's no WiFi coming from the drone? Does anyone have any ideas???
Have you tried reseting everything? Check the Parrot Support site under Troubleshooting: www.parrot.com/us/support/anafi/how-do-i-restore-my-drone-to-its-original-firmware-state
@@BeatMuzikSquad Thanks I keep going back and forth with their support team. This is the 3rd rep and he sent me your video to show me how to get it to work... good grief.
I don't think it is always necessary, but it never hurts. Most crashes happen when the drone either loses connection, or it doesn't know where it is. Making sure the compass knows which way is north is important.
Hi, do you know how I can reinstall the firmware? I had to press cancel at the first installation and I do not know how to redo it. or how to reset the factory settings, can you help me?
I looked in the online manual and you can reset all options in each section of the app (Tap “RESET ALL CAMERA PREFERENCES AND SETTINGS” on the bottom of the page to reset preferences.): www.parrot.com/us/sites/default/files/firmware/anafi_user_guide_v1.2.4_0.pdf I do not know how to restart the Firmware process. Maybe uninstall the app and re-install to start the initial checks again.
Hi guys ! Can someone help me? i bought a PArrot Anafi but i cannot connect my samsung j5 (2016) to skycontroller and drone. How can i solve this? is that a problem of my new drone or smartphone? i had a bebop 2 before and it worked fine...
i used cable and i have all premissions. I managed to connect but the connection is still bad because there is a delay between the movement of the drone and the image/vide/streaming that i get on my smartphone screen. And the image gets "frozen" sometimes too. I didn´t try to connect with a better smartphone , so i dont know if the problem is the smartphone.
Interesting... Is there anything interfering with the WiFi signal? I always leave my smartwatch in the car and pilot from a grassy field. When I launch from a parking lot with alot of cars, i get interference from all of the metal.
great video! really helps! --love your intro on your video...i would love to develop an intro for my videos. im honkinggoosemedia on vimeo. do you know folks who could help me develop a cool intro ?--im a beekeeper and rescue honey bees.

I don't know why i can't connect the controller to my phone (it seems that the controller is charging my phone i dont know if that is correct). Because i can't connect it i tried by Wifi and i dont have any problems (i did this to see that the drone was OK) i see image and everything. Now that i tried to connect the controller for a strange reason it seems that im "connected" because i have control of the gimball but i don't see any kind of image, also in the screen i see "not connected", how can i solve my problem?.
