A Brazilian women's national team practice match was halted after a parrot landed on the head of one of the players. Defender Bruna Benties had a macaw standing on her head before an assistant coach was brought in to try and get the bird off her head with a football

I guess it's a pet macaw that escaped, confortable around humans and he did want to land on the girl behind but she dodged. Poor boi, but it's understandable, they can be intimidating. As a parrot owner, I'm used to birds flying to me from afar, but I can see how everyone else can get scared.

It is Rio bruh, tropical. The national team training area is surrounded by a green and protected area in the city of Teresópolis/RJ.

You should NEVER just approach the parrot without speaking to it first. They are BIRDS who can understand us. The rule is before you confront any parrot, speak softly and genuinely to it for at least 5 minutes. If it is comfortable with you, then you may approach it and ask it to leave. If it doesn't, try to find a bird suit or cover yourself with something that resembles a parrot. Try again. HiTTING IT WITH A BALL IS UNACCEPTABLE.

It's no surprise that Brazil has black people, but that's because it's ethnically diverse. In fact the ratio of black to white is not very far apart. I'm afraid that's just a blatantly racist/xenophobic joke
