In 2003, my wife and I got a Moluccan cockatoo from Parrot Mountain. Our daughter was 11 months old. Our daughter is 19 going on 20 years old and the cockatoo is 19 years old.
That is a very beautiful place, I absolutely love it!! The cages are really nice, clean and it's so very peaceful. Love the gift shop as well. What a great time together. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. We will be back there next month, we are always looking for new places to go. We will definitely check it out. Peace and love from Baltimore as always.
Hey there j&b about 3 weeks ago when I made a trip to pigeon forge Gatlinburg we always pull off at a place in Cookeville Tennessee it's a rest stop and we got a coupon on parrot mountain we got five bucks off and I had my 3-year-old granddaughter with me and we stay there at least 6 hours she had a blast and we tried to leave she threw a fit again guys y'all my favorite RU-vidrs appreciate what y'all do till next video God bless hey guys I have to add this to this was planning on leaving out for pigeon forge to Gatlinburg in the morning I've had to bring hospice in to help me with my mother her dementia has took a very bad turn things aren't looking good again guys thank y'all for what you do
Sympathies about your mom. 😢 Dementia is a cruel disease, in that it is a thief and it is a murderer. (I speak from experience, in that my mom also passed from dementia.) Again sympathies, and I send cyberhugs to you and your family.
That is great you got a coupon. Wow six hours she really did love the birds. Have a safe trip. Sorry about your Mom we will be praying for her. Thanks for watching Jeff.😎😎
Yes sir John and Bobby dementia is terrible I watch my mama The last 5 years just go downhill she has not eaten in 26 days now hospital says it's just a matter of a few days and I really believe that too thank y'all for your support and we will meet very soon I grant you that y'all seem like people that I have known all my life thank you God bless
Love the prayer garden, I was especially impressed with the fact that, in the tomb, the napkin that would have covered Jesus' face was folded. I looked for that especially when you showed the inside of the tomb. And, there was Christian music playing in the gift shop. Definitely would be worth the trip!
We love Parrot Mountain! We went there about 2 years ago. When you were feeding the birds you only had three on you. When I was feeding the birds there was about 20 of them on me! The Mennonite people behind me were laughing like crazy! You can see that moment on our video of the place on our channel. Another great video as always! We always look forward to seeing your videos!
This was our 3rd trip. We love seeing the birds they are beautiful. That is cool you had that many birds on you. They told John they didn't think the birds were hungry. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎 😎
J&B new subscriber here! Loved the Parrot Mountain video!! Reminded me of the parrot show at Grant's farm in St Louis. Video was well done and really clear. Looking forward to the next one 😀 👍!!
@@jbinthehills Yes, for sure. Your video got my wife all excited for it! We got Dollywood passes and plan to come for Smoky Mountain Christmas at the very least.
What an absolutely wonderful place! It's great that you can walk among them, and interact with some of them. Those birds are so precious. Love it, love it, love it! Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience!
One of my fondest memories of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is taking my 5 yr old daughter to Parrot Mtn. We got an African Grey not long after…Oh, and I’m from WV too…outside of Charleston in Dunbar. Been living in TN for many years. But, still call WV home.
Parrot Mountain is a special place. Would love to live in Tennessee. It's our favorite place. We live in the Northern part of WV. Glad you enjoyed video. 😎😎
Oh I absolutely love this place I’ve never been before but I can’t wait to take my granddaughter thank you so much for showing it to me what a great adventure with you guys today
Wow, such beautiful creatures. I love all the color in them, but there was something about that grey bird (near the beginning of the video) that just fascinated me. Fun adventure. Sorry about your "Elvis" superman hat! ~Gloria
Was here a number of years ago and really enjoyed it. It looks like they've made it even better!! Thanks for the great video!! Love watching you guys!! God Bless!!!
My cat said thank you so much for the video! I dont think he blinked in the first 15 mins of it. lol Such pretty birds! Only bird i ever owned was a canary! That was many years ago now.
Such beautiful birds! Of all the years we have been going to Pigeon Forge we have never been here. Will definitely have to check it out. We always enjoy seeing the birds they have at The Island. Carly asked can we go there while watching the video. So you know we will! Sorry that the bird got the button on your hat. Another great video!
Loved seeing and hearing the kookaburra! Reminds me of the song we sang in elementary school. Laugh, kookaburra…laugh… Ps. Since I’m new to your channel-Why are you in the hills?🤔🧐
Glad you enjoyed it. We are from the Hills of West Virginia. We were J&B Travels for first month then we changed the name. Appreciate you subscribing. 😎😎
I did not know this was in Pigeon Forge. I love this and I think all your videos are special, but this one really touched my heart. I love birds. I love to walk early in the morning and listen to the birds sing. It is so peaceful there. I love the Prayer Garden. My uncle used to have peacocks. They are amazing birds. When I go to my nephew's pool there is someone that has peacocks and sometimes you can hear them. Thank you for sharing. I love this video. What do they do with them in the winter when it snows or gets very cold since they are tropical birds?
I have no idea what they do with the birds. That's a good question. Glad you enjoyed the video. It is so peaceful to listen to the birds we enjoy that as well. The Prayer Garden was so beautiful and Peaceful we loved that. The Peacocks are so pretty. Appreciate the comment and you watching. 😎😎
Do the birds claws dig into your skin when you feed them from that little cup in your hand? Seems they were all competing for that cup of food, too funny. Love to see that interaction between the birds and you John!
this is one of my very favorite videos that yall have done. Thank yall for being so respectful to the birds. When Mr. John said, "he's waving at me!" I thought that was really funny! 3:11
Hello guys! Suzanne from Canada . Is there no end to the beautiful places in pigeon forge? Oh my gosh I was hoping those menu boards were not going to say "deep fried parrot wings" lol just kidding :) lovely place great video!
When I finished high school my father was stationed in the US Navy and he got himself recommissioned on Midway island, the entire island was a bird sanctuary. The military has since given the island back to the birds, as a youngster I personally could only take about a month of the place and I had to tell my mother good bye.
My husband and I when they're during our sixth wedding anniversary like I commented before on the previous video for Reagan's We will be celebrating 9 years on May 25th but we went there for 6th anniversary and it was so funny The birds that you could hold they're so sweet and even more funny watching my husband feed the nectar to the other birds The lovebirds I think they're called and you ain't kidding about the jewelry because about had one bird if I left him long enough he would have probably got one of my diamonds out of my wedding band If you leave him alone long enough however I turned it around and figured it out so then I took it off and my husband put it in his pocket So you ain't kidding about that definitely recommend that But we had a blast there This place is so awesome! If you're a bird person 🤣
LOVED THIS VIDEO. Thank you so much, John and Bobbie, for putting this together! All those different bird species in one place. Funny thing, where were the Pink Flamingos?
9:38 I went here about a year ago when I wasn't only thinking about birds. I came across this bird here. We came across alot of the same birds, Actually! This bird said my brothers name "Andrew" and "bye-bye" I didn't wanna leave this one. Cockatoos are so smart
I have a 2.5 year old Blue Crown Conure that came from Parrot Mountain. We live in Michigan though.. the people I got him from bought him at parrot MTN and after a few weeks they decided they didn't want him anymore. They put him OUTSIDE (he was only a baby then) and when he didn't fly away, they put him on Craigslist and I adopted him from them for $100. They claimed to have paid around $2000 for him at PM. Who knows if that was the truth. I've had him since, and I absolutely adore him. His name is Jelly Bean but I mostly call him Bean. I wish I could add his picture 😌
Most of it. The area you saw us playing with the birds probably not. The rest no problem. It's a beautiful place. Just go and listen and see the birds and enjoyed the Garden of Eden you will love it. 😎😎
I did forgot to say it's very steep in areas so you need a strong one. Just got a comment that a wheelchair wouldn't work and he rented a golf cart for 125. Thought that was expensive. The place is very wide as you can see in the video.
@@jbinthehills Thank you so much because it really helps people who have people that need scooters or have a disability helps me to figure out what we can do
I DONT advise anyone who's severely handicap to go here. I have Muscular Dystrophy and use a power chair. I've used a chair for 9 yrs so I know what I'm doing. The whole place is such a steep incline it literally felt like my chair was going to tip over many times. The day I was there an elderly lady with a walker fell and scuffed herself up pretty bad. It's a very beautiful place but isn't a safe place for anyone with a serious disability.
