Parsley is such an awesome herb. It is not just to decorate food for pictures!!! I was lucky last season to have a parsley plant that produced really well and I used a huge amount to make 30 pounds of cajun boudin sausage. It adds such a nice vegetal/grassy/herbal flavor to food. Meat balls, sausage, etc.

Best Parsley Video, Bravo Angela! It makes a good pesto by itself or with another herb too 🌿

Wow those flowers were so pretty and seeing all the beautiful life around them. We take so many things for granted. How lovely it is to see these.

I love parsley too! I live in Utah zone 6/7, and it overwinters as an evergreen plant. It flowers the next year, and if you let it drop its seeds, it will reseed itself with abandon. I have let a patch go with little irrigation under a peach tree, and it has perpetuated itself for 10 years without help, other than removing all but one flowering plant at the end of the year to help limit its spread.

Great video! I grow parsley indoors through summer for obvious reasons. Last year's parsley was put outdoors in November and it's mostly bolted now. I've been leaving it alone and am glad after watching this video. I did move one over next to my dill after I saw a bunch of swallowtail caterpillars had decimated said dill (which they are welcome to; the dill was about done anyway). Thank you for posting this video. I especially appreciate you talking about how to preserve it and how much you can cut back. I learned several things. As always, you are wonderful! Cheers.

I found that you can help iarsley “self-sow” by letting it go to seed & scattering them where you want them to grow. It can be almost like a perennial. Too with soil, then mulch in winter (this was in NorCal tho, so I don’t know how well seeds can overwinter in cold climes).

This has nothing to do with parsley, but where did you get your ladder trellises? I’ve been looking for them, but I have unsuccessful.

3 to 4 weeks for germination is not an exaggeration, they've got a habit of popping up once you give up on them.
