who else is hair is healthy and soft from the top and when you touch the mid part of your hair it has a hole lot of split ends and it dry asf like a desert
K A T H Y S M I L E Z I am assuming this could be happening from mechanical damage, like 1. combing or brushing top to bottom, when the correct way is bottom to top little sections at a time, 2. Rough hair ties with metallic pieces that rip and break the hair, no metal ouch less ties would work well. 3. Not being careful with the bag strap can also catch hair and rough it up between your shoulder and the strap. Also, the easiest best advice I can give is 1. coconut milk on dry hair, 2. Put a bag over your head, and leave for 1h to 4h. If sensitive to protein, just use coconut oil 🥥 ON DRY CLEAN HAIR. Be persistent, good luck 👍🕉
Carolina Val yea my bfs mom owns a salon and the best shampoo and conditioner shes ever given me was like $90 for both, but shit my hair was THRIVING when i had those in my bathroom 😩
Estella I had blue hair and it was super healthy and then I made it brown and it got kinda damaged and I went back to purple today and It’s fucking done Just done It’s so bad really
omg k so i went to a hair salon and dyed my hair there, i said to dye it BROWN but the guy did highlights like tf this looking ugly on me and it took 1 1/2 hours so I’ll probably keep this color on for a month then dye it back to black 😌
well that kinda depends on what you get. I stopped using drugstore shampoo and conditioners and started using shampoos and conditioners salons use. yes, when I have to buy new stuff its over 30 euro. but it lasts me over 1,5 year. with drugstore products I spend a least the amount in that time and I get less quality.
Shit I feel like $12-15 is pricey. I just use a lemon rinse every few weeks. My hair feels and looks better than ever. Doesn't feel itchy or look frizzy after showers
+Krysta Pendleton I just squeeze a couple table spoons of lemon juice or a whole lemon and mix it with like 2 cups of water. Lemons are anti bacterial and have nutrients that are good for your hair, plus they balance the ph levels. I've heard you can even rub the inside of the lemon peel on your scalp. Don't leave it in for more than like 2-3 minutes and massage your scalp well. It's just something new I've been trying. You can also use soap nuts and a couple other things. I wanna try soap nuts but they're kind of expensive. Apparently they're cheaper and for sure less harsh than other detergents but sometimes you're just to broke even for good deals. Anyways stay away from baking soda if you plan on using simpler alternatives. I wouldn't recommend completely replacing your haircare routine with lemon juice or anything if you don't already have somewhat healthy hair- if your hair is basically like how fried her hair then you should keep conditioner.
I shaved down to my skin with a razor 😂 it was an experience but I won't do it ever again. My hairs about 2 inches now and I haven't dyed or cut it yet
Okay, let’s get this straight, No sulfates, No silicone, no parabens, no heat, no Mineral oil, no drying alcohol, And ALWAYS check the ingredients. Do ya research.
Dee V I think Function of Beauty fits the bill, aside from silicone (but they use a silicone that isn’t supposed to weigh hair down or whatever). Not Your Mother’s could work for ya, too
LOVELYLAMMAZ i live in Australia so most products that are natural and ethical are really hard to find or otherwise not affordable at all :/ we don’t have a Walmart or Walgreens etc
@@BaHahaA4 I don't have any specific brands to recommend, but almost all natural soaps I've found are free of these ingredients. There are also tons of DIY shampoo recipes online that are made with things like honey, coconut milk, and a gentle soap base (Dr. Bronners). It's definitely worth looking into - these natural alternatives are also better for the environment!
tip: put coconut oil on the very ends of your hair BEFORE you shampoo. just the ends though, and focus shampooing the base of your head and running the shampoo through your strands. prevents the shampoo from further damaging your already porous ends, the oil comes off when you lightly lather your strands no worries..and the heat helps soak the oil into your ends ;-) it's about taking away old product not stripping oils... new sub, loved your channel description :-) gr8 explanation of what everything DID and not just where to buy it (loved that part!)
Coconut oil does not work for me before I wash it. Oil can’t actually moisturize your hair; it can only seal in moisture and keep it from getting too dry. But if your hair is already super dry/damaged, it probably won’t work for you.
“Because it was so good to me I just kept on abusing it, like a relationship.” Damn, I felt that. edit: woah i’ve never gotten this much attention on a comment but now that i see that people are seeing it i just wanna say to keep your head held high, things will get better for you sweetheart.
Some people have oily hair, their roots get pretty greasy after a day or two. But if they dye their hair it can dry it out, and then they keep washing it the same amount because they don't realize, so it gets more damaged
+lollopisemis i have fine hair too and I used to wash my hair as much as you do. When you wash away the oils the hair start to produce more and more, I trained my hair not to produce as much oil by not washing it as much. I reduced it by one wash every other week. Now my hair doesn't produce hardly any oil. I only wash it when I absolutely have to and I wash it with a coconut cowash that gives it the oils it needs so it won't produce as much after washing.
I wash my hair with Wen cleansing conditioner (the one for oily hair, which has tea tree oil I believe) & wash it once a week max. I've always had oily hair & had to wash it every other day when using regular shampoo & conditioner. I've been using Wen for a while now & it doesn't get as oily anymore, just like the other commenter stated. However, I could wash my hair daily with Wen & not damage my hair since it's a cleansing conditioner. I'm just too lazy & still have the idea of "washing less is best" ingrained in my head.
@@aimzoi I literally just got done googling the same exact thing lol. And couldn't find anything so I came to the comments to see if anyone else heard oat sulfate too xD
Is it just me or is dying your hair almost like an addictive process. During the times I’ve dyed my hair it seems to be when I’m in a mental break down type of state and the constant bleaching is striping away the mess along with my hair color, it’s all a constant cycle that can’t stop. Before I dyed my hair it was so nice, I had chestnut brown hair with natural red highlights and was quite thick, it’s been almost 4 years since I’ve started bleaching my hair and it’s so thin compared to before and fried, I want to cry but I don’t think I’ll stop bleaching my hair and it fucking sucks Okay sorry if you read to here it’s a late night ramble I suppose
Maria Hussain ME! My hair has gotten crucially worse in the past four weeks! It’s dry, brittle, and my curls are all misshapen! I don’t know what the heck I did to make this happen, and two hours of deep conditioning had NO AFFECT on my hair! I’m so confused!!
I totally understand. last year I completely fried my hair going blonde. I had to chop off 3 inches and I still had split ends. What helped me was applying coconut oil once a week and leaving it on overnight (if you do this you need to shampoo at least twice to get all the oil out 😄) now I'll put coconut oil on first then mix olive oil and an egg yolk and leave it to soak overnight. When washing out don't use hot water or you'll cook the egg 😆 once a week I'll do the coconut oil by itself and once a month do the coconut + egg yolk and my blonde journey this time around has been so healthy. I hope this helps someone!
Currently in quarantine regretting the fact that i dyed my hair atleast 4 different colors in the span of 2 months. Realizing how beautiful my natural hair was 😂 🤦🏽♀️
Use less shampoo and more conditioner, leave the conditioner in for a longer period of time. Use hair oils and DO NOT use the hair oil before you apply heat, id put it in after you condition your hair and leave it in, towel/air dry or let it sit and absorb for a little bit
conditioner doesn't moisturize your hair, it's only conditioning it as the name says and v often also has silicones that can clog your skin, that's why it's important to put conditioner on the hair, not roots
- dont wash it 3x week - good shampoo (silky) oat sulfates - do not brush it (avoid tiny brush) - aphogee - loreal nutrishimer cristal instant miracle - nexxus (split ends) - do not use heat (use spray) - pantene serum night
In case anyone needs tips as a wavy girl I've tried the curly girl method and my hair was fine at the beginning (I had to wash it every other day because my hair loses definition easily) The CGM didn't work for me except for the deep conditioning part my hair started to dry out and any strand that loses definition turns frizzy right away not just loose. I deep condition once a week (coconut oil is perfect) I wash my hair twice a week, brush it in the shower and never when it's dry. I put it in two braids before going to sleep. My hair seems satisfied being just wavy and the hair texture is a lot better, I rarely spot a frizzy strand and it's bouncy and soft. DONT FORCE YOUR HAIR TO BE A TEXTURE IT DOESNT BELONG TO. Keep your hair wavy as it is and don't force it to be curly
I think I’m realizing the CGM is what ruined my hair. Half of my hair is wavy and the other half is curly... yep, I probably damaged my hair so bad by using the CGM on it for two months or so.
@@sophiaredwood5825 true it doesn't work for everyone and it's never too late to get back on track and fix the damage. Apply oils over it once every week or two weeks (if your hair works well with oils) and brush it gently in the shower with warm/ cold water. Hope it gets better and healthier soon 💜
We all have unique hair for sure, no technique will be one size fits all. I have wavy 2b/c hair and tweaked the CGM to suit me, it changed m hair completely. I didn’t even know I had parts of my hair that could actually get ringlets here and there. But I had to play around, drop some stuff from it, do some things that are “no no’s”, and figure out what suited my hair - rather than forcing it to be something it wasn’t. You’re completely right and we should all embrace our hair no matter what it’s like!
i literally lathered my hair in coconut oil (yeah...bad idea) i washed my hair 6 times and the oil did not come out! for about a week, my hair looked soaking wet because it was so oily even though it was dry lmao
My hair is bleached, stringy and wet ;-; I’m literally having a mental break down about my hair and this kinda made me feel better (‘: so I’m going to do these steps I hope this really helps out 😭
So I tried it and my hair is still damaged but it got a whole lot better !!! My hair isn’t stringy no more and I can finally straighten my hair and my hair didn’t fall off because I used the heat very low! Make sure it’s LOW!!! This happened once in my life where I got my hair done in Mexico and I used a straightener with very high heat and it burned off my hair so that was a life lesson lol but other than that I was scared my hair would fall off and it didn’t because I was very careful with it and used these tips from the video and I also didn’t straighten my hair a lot I just use it whenever I go out also let your hair air dry don’t use a blow dryer ! No no !!
Ooooh, I have bleached my hair so much too and I'm working on getting it to a healthier state! Finally hearing someone talking about how super damaged hair feels when it is wet... it feels so gross!
when i was platinum blonde and i noticed my hair getting really wire-y i would put a ton of moroccan oil in it and didn't wash it for a few days over the weekend and just let all the oil build up then washed it out and put a mask in it and more moroccan oil and a leave in mask and it helped me sooooo much. it was so hard to do because it felt so gross but oil is your best friend for fixing fried hair
I don't know how your hair was before, but not only is it healthy and shiny, you have absolutely NO flyaways, and you are in the sun on camera. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you thank you!!! 😍😍
Also stop using a towel to dry your hair , the little string bits catch on to hair and pull out strangs. Instead use an old t-shirt or something of siimilar material as your hair will slide right though without creating friction or tugging
Another tip is that rubbing the hair with either a towel or t-shirt is in both cases unnecessary friction that damages the hair. Lightly squeezing it instead (with a t-shirt or microfiber towel) and then letting it air dry or dry in a turban is a much better alternative.
+sandpitturtle Right after you get out of the shower? That'll take hours. I usually let mine air dry after I've had it in a turban for a while, but never all on it's own, otherwise it would just wet everything around me and would still be damp several hours later. Why would you?
Why does it matter how long it takes for your hair to dry? It's better than using a towel, which you're not supposed to but use an old t shirt. I've always air dried my hair even as a kid and my hair is perfectly fine. Why do you care?
Lol I can relate to that. Ive done it many Times. My hair has recovered usually really fast. Now Im doing break bcs ive been loosing hair lately. Still "thick" compared to other locals
My hair used to be so bad and dry because I straighten it weekly and it just wasn't getting the moisture it needed. So I did some research and found this home made hair mask and all it is is two egg yolks, two tablespoons of olive oil, and half a cup of water. I put that all through my hair mainly focusing on the ends and left it for about an hour and then washed it out and conditioned my hair. The results were amazing! The protein from the egg helps strengthen your hair so much. And because I literally have to straighten my hair otherwise it turns into a frizz ball I use the Davroe straightening balm and leave that in overnight. And then just straighten it. I do this twice a week and it's completely transformed my hair I highly recommend doing this if you like using heat on your hair :)
+bands & wifi Definitely gonna try this out! It's not like my hair is super damaged, i mean i never use heat and i've never dyed it, but somehow it just feels reaaaally dry. It doesn't feel soft at all, it makes me stop wanting to touch it. Just one question though, isn't it hard to remove the eggs and oil? It sounds like it is something extremely hard to get out of my hair
I thought my hair was just really frizzy, but I only just realized it was really damaged. I am only 14, and I have dyed my hair every colour of the rainbow at least 10 times.
Jaime Street oh my, i’m 14 too, and i dyed my hair at least 50 times, they’re damaged so so hard. now i have half/half dyed hair, and the left side is probably dead. when i’m brushing my hair out they’re just falling out like- like too hard, and not growing back. i don’t know what to do so, so i’m just here, trying to find someone with the same experience.
Joss thank you, i’m taking supplements and stuff but, ends of my hair are damaged, that’s why they’re not growing (they’re growing but breaking at the middle), i’ll probably buy biotin after my vitamins ended cause i heard about it so many things, and i hope it’ll work
evemustdie use avocado as a mascara put it in ur hair 2 hours and then wash it ,also as a mascara u can use olive oil is helping me a lot! Good luck with ur hair
please enter a name if she/he/they have depression then i hope things will work out for them and they’ll feel better soon. If not, go shower bcs that’s disgusting af
@@mellysajane4961 small kids don't need to go for showers much and I don't need to clean my hair for a week it's not gross everyoned different I go for showers but don't wash my hair
THANK YOU!!! for not recommending super expensive/really small products! I have super long hair so I go through conditioners and stuff like crazy which means I can't afford to buy very high-end products so I really appreciate this 💞
Use coconut oil all over your hair and let it infuse for a few hours before washing it out. Coconut oil is one of the few oils that can penetrate the hair and not just coat it in a film. I just did this yesterday and my hair is definitely softer and less frizzy.
Honey is also incredibly beneficial for your hair since it helps the hair retain moisture and heals wounds on your scalp. It's also self preserving, antimicrobial and makes the hair shiny and soft but at the same time stronger and more durable. Lush has a great honey-based shampoo, if it feels a bit tedious to emerge your hair in only honey haha, but you'd still like to try something environmentally friendly and safe for your health. I'm currently using it (It's called Fairly Traded Honey) and it's the best investment i've ever done for my hair.
Alva Edentorp Sandin Sadly honey is too sticky and uncomfortable to use on the hair on its own, whereas oil is very easy to apply, you can do it before every wash. Looking for shampoo with honey is a good idea though.
+Quixotic +Quixotic Yeah, that's true, although I was really referring to mixing it with coconut oil as you mentioned, to make the application process easier. I never apply it all on it's own of course. After that, rinsing it out with warm water is no trouble at all, but I guess coconut oil alone takes less time either way! I have it in my hair right now actually👌👌 Yeah there's probably other brands that uses honey as well, but you should definitely try Lush's one if you have a shop in your vicinity. You get a free sample that lasts 1-3 washes or longer, if you just ask for it, at least here in Sweden. I definitely recommend it!:)
@somegirljess my hairdresser(, who's amazingly skilled but still too expensive for regular visits) told me that actually no one can "repair" hair. The only thing you (and even the best hairdresser on this planet) can do, is make it look and feel healthier. Be "nice" to your hair and scalp (with good products) so it grows faster and healthy, cut it regularly and make sure you don't damage it/the damaged parts further. FYI: I went from long, dark brown, semi-dyed, really healthy hair to now damaged silver-blue, shoulder length hair, so I know the situation far too well ;)
Mine was like a tumbleweed, lol after bad hair coloring/ bleaching kid you not,, So I did my own DIY hair to the rescue and it freaking worked 2 tablespoon miracle whip mayonnaise 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon coconut oil 1/4 teaspoon baby oil Mix all then using hands starting at the ends and spread all over hair, cover with shower cap leave on for 45 minutes to 1 hr and wash and deep condition Wahalahhhh
I know your comment is a year old but I'll reply to anyone who has the same problem and is wondering about a solution. The thing really comes down to trying out what works best for you. People are very different and while some things work for some people, they might not work for you. So if you can, try to find testers for products, or buy those super small shampoo and conditioner, etc. bottles and see if it works for your hair or not. One thing I would recommend though, is to try to find affordable organic/bio products with little to no chemicals (or at least with no sulfates such as SLS and no alcohol). I think that helped both my hair and my skin most and I hope it works for anyone else reading this. :)
It destroys the natural oils in your hair. You're really only supposed to wash it every 2-3 days. I would suggest putting on a shower cap and washing your body if you have to take one every day ^^
Same. I used to dye and bleach my hair sooooooooooooooooooooo much and it never really got that bad, but recently, like the past two years I've only really dyed it like 5 times and bleached it ONCE, then yesterday I bleached it and it was like "no mama, no" and now here I am.
She is wasting her money on all these products, and doing what I did. I have way light bleached hair from a level 5 to platinum, and you don't need to buy the products she is talking about. The best fix after 10 years experience is to mix 1/2 jojoba oil with 1/2 fractionated coconut oil. Put a tiny amount in the palm of your hands and rub them together (not too much or your hair will look greasy). Cup your palms together and slide 2 inch strands through this, and your hair will look and feel perfect. Plus, it's chemical free so it actually good for your hair and it replenishes the moisture back into the hair. I just discovered Biosilk, and that is just wow!! You can add a bit in at the end if you even need to. If your hair is dry enough like mine, the oil soaks in overnight and is gone. Then I use the Biosilk for amazing shine. One bottle will last years!
Samantha T I got the colour striped out my hair to get bloned hair spend all morning and night past shutting time my hair was like cotton wool after then felt like straw n fell out I was 15 I had thick long lush hair but to this day it never grew back in the same my real hair colour even changed using flat irons on my hair to make it look a bit better & not like pubic hair just ruined it by the time left the house my hair was back to being so fizzy like a just got out of bed and never brushed it I stopped using hair dryers and let it air dry and stopt using my straighteners it got better after 2 years but still not anywhere near the way it was its now thin and week and won't grow to the length it did before I ruined it there shude be a law for young girls wanting to be blond when there hair is still maturing biggest mistake I have ever made
Getting a wide tooth comb really helps your hair, especially if your hair is damaged. It removes tangles and doesn’t cause split ends like a regular brush would. It also doesn’t cause a lot of frizz when brushing dry.
It's so much more important what you put into your body than what you put on your hair and skin. Carrots, Spinach, blueberries, mushrooms, citrus, melon, foods rich in vitamins C, D3, B12. And get good fats like avocado, coconut oil, olive oil, and fish oil. Try to cut out sugar unless it's from fruit and dark chocolate. You'll stop craving it! The same goes for wheat products (pasta, breads, cereals, etc.) It's not just about the gluten, the carbs turn into sugar and matabolize into "bad fat" very quickly. Dairy and red meat have wonderful health benefits in moderation, but too much of either can cause inflammation, skin conditions, stomach issues, etc. Try to look at your face and hair as your information resource telling you what you need to eat more of, or less of, if you need to get more sleep, and respond to what your body is crying out for. Instead of using a mask to reduce puffiness, drink more water that morning and reduce your salt intake that day. Your face is telling you what your body needs to be healthier- don't just add more products on top and ignore everything staring you in the face. Become more beautiful, and more healthy.
Yeah but if you bleach it to all buggery, it won't help what grows out if you're not treating it right. Its kinda like a burn. Eating well helps your skin and healing but not moisturising/using creams to help wouldn't be the smartest
I suggest you the wet brush! It's really the best and you can brush your hair when it's wet. The coconut oil is one of the best cheap thing you can use. I like to mix it with almond oil and castor oil over night.
mayra Martinez after a few weeks of dying my hair starts to feel okay again haha don’t worry just get some hair masks for specifically for dry damaged hair and everytime you wash your hair put in hair oils and heat protective spray. Don’t straighten or curl or use any heat on it . Get a tangle-teaser brush they can be used on wet hair without damage
Hey, sorry if you've already answered this but what colour are you using on your hair in this video? I want to go from pastel pink to more of this vibe so would love to know! Thank you xx
Loved the video, I usually can't stand a person talking 15min straight, but (first, I need these advice and then) it's so relatable I had to keep watching!!
Good tips! I bleached my hair at home and when I washed it out, my hair felt so ... mushy and like I barely had any left, but it turns out I didn't lose as much hair as I thought. It's just really damaged. I knew better, but I didn't want to wait for a salon. So it's time for 2x week hair washes and deeply nourishing products!
I wash my hair about once a week and shampoo twice and condition twice with a deep conditioning after. People say that’s dirty... but my hair started growing so much more and looked so much healthier after 3 months of doing it.
I shaved my head to my scalp and haven't cut or dyed it since. I've been only washing once a week (shampoo and condition once works for my short hair). I used to wash my hair daily and it'd be oily within 24 hours and barely grew. Since I shaved it off I've grown 2 inches in about 2 months which is a lot for me and it's so healthy. It takes about 3 days to be oily now which is sooo nice and I can't believe how nice my hair is. I've started using a leave in mask now and I'm seeing such a difference.
I wash mine only 1 time a week and I use it’s a 10 shampoo and conditioner after I use Redken anti breakage leave in cream and also the its a 10 spray the leave in and my hair took a very long time for it to get healthy but it’s super soft now took a few months to really notice the difference!
Get a swimming cap? That’s what i do 😂 i know it looks ridiculous but it will make u more streamlined- when you get out wash ur body but not ur hair and then take off the cap but tuck it in properly 😂
Your eyes are gorgeous!! I really think you should try out the Wet Brush, it's seriously freaking amazing! I have very fine, blonde hair and I can not get a brush or comb through it when it is wet but once I bought the wet brush I could not believe how freaking well it worked! I'm seriously obsessed with it.. But I also use It's A Ten which is a leave in conditioner and it works amazingly for detangling, smoothing, and repairing as well as preventing future damage! It's definitely a little on the pricey side but it's totally worth it in my opinion.
You’re absolutely adorable. Very cute, honest and focused on what is also affordable and very on point. I also get a very positive vibe from you . Keep up with tutorials and tips for girly care :)
My hair is opposite. It's stronger when wet, but then it's frizzy and damaged looking when dry. Does anyone have any hair products to recommend for putting moisture into hair? Especially for fine hair
That sounds like my hair, try using a little Argan oil on your hair when it’s damp, mainly on the ends. Also I noticed anything with aloe Vera helps my hair look smoother, try neutrogena triple moisturize conditioner. Avoid using heat, also eat healthy and drink a lot of water. I noticed my hair is more frizzy when I am dehydrated.
My hair was black box dyed for years and HELLA silky, I got bored and bleached it a few days ago, now it’s blonde. It’s so fried😭 it feels like hay and keeps getting tangled. Fml.
Hey! Same:( I was going to dye it blonde after I bleached it but now I'm worried because my hair is fried but it's this weird orange/ pink combo because my hair was purple before I bleached it so I don't wanna go outside:
Two years ago, a hairsalon “melted” the top of my hair. It was one of the most stressful situations i encountered since i was worried it would break, but thankfully it grew out and now just a few months from getting rid of them for good. But honestly i hate how it feels. I never had my hair this damaged :(
I've been using the Aphogee Two-Step Protein Treatments for a couple years now, and it is like magic in a bottle. I always always always use it when I go bleach crazy, and it helps a lot.
No dude. You towel dry hair then drench it with the Aphogee then dry it with medium heat until completely dry. At that point it will feel crunchy, then rinse off and apply the step 2 balancing conditioner. Don't just apply, sit with it and rinse. You have to dry it. I did it today for the third time, this thing is amazing but the bottle you're holding cost me 9,99$ in Canada. I bought the big one I think 1L for 20$, you can also find it on Amazon for cheap. Winners in Canada have this great shampoo called bio keratin.
Nothing can actually repair split ends. They have to be cut off. Those products make it seem like there are less split ends by coating your hair in silicones.
I never wash my hair with shampoo anymore, my hair is so much healthier now. I use apple cider vinegar and olive oil twice a week and wash it 3 times a week. I also use a egg mask once a week makes the hair softer. I use special shower gel for specific hair, feels great afterwards :)
Split yes damaged no. You can recover damaged. Just be very strict. If you are dying your hair bright blue and flat ironing it, it's gonna stay damaged,
+Sydney Turner You can't. Hair that is damaged by bleach, heat etc. needs to be cut in order to be healthy. It CANNOT be repaired, you can only make it look healthier.
im glad someone with ACTUAL damaged hair makes a video about it. so sick of people who have heat damage or only dyed their hair once saying how damaged it is. like sis no
No sulphates in your shampoo, no silicones in your conditioners. Wash once a week with a really good scalp massage. Deep condition once a week. Use a wide toothed comb only, no brushes,, no heat, no styling products. I do all that, still looks crap 😒
When I first bleached my hair and it was suuuper dry and damaged I would just douse my whole head in extra virgin olive oil every night and sleep in it to bring the moisture back. Worked for me. :)
Wait, wouldn’t shampooing it put dry it even more? That’s the only thing I’m concerned about but I feel like I need a whole bucket of oil on my head. SOS send help
I used the Nexus split end stuff too and it is amazing but I think they did discontinue it...I use the Pantene overnight deep repair 8 hour gel stuff now and it works exactly the same! If you put it on towel dried hair exactly you did the Nexus stuff, it will dry the same, style the same, and bind the split ends the same!! :)
My hair is really so smooth and silky. It's reaching my waist. It's so beautiful, my mom's taking care of it not until I chose to cut it so short. From a long one to shocking super short. And then boom! It become so dry and damaged. And my mom said to me, "I told you so." I wanna cry.
Lol when your hair is at the gum stage, it means it is really damaged, and most masques won't work since it is DEAD! You can wash it often, just not pull or brush until halfly dry or fully dry. Hair is much stronger when not wet. I would refrain from any more chemical and heat abuse. Trim off as much as you can and start using protein, serum and oils. Also switching to sulfate free hair products like shampoo I recomend in general. I am a hairdresser and I am guilty doing the same that you did only ten times worse. I managed to change my hair texture and I also suffer from Alopecia which is hairloss. Had I known better and not taken my thick Asian hair for granted I would still have beautiful hair. Castor and coconut oil (applied to scalp - leave in) works great for most people experiencing hairloss, unless hereditary.
***** Pilipino? hehe. hormones, stress or medications can be a factor. it is normal to loose a lot of hair, and it is very noticeable when colored hair. If your chemical treated part of your hair is breaking upwards it will cause any new har to break, But that shouldn't result in ''hair loss''. Try an backtrack the past month or so when you noticed it started to break. I would deff go and see a hair specialist or doctor. hairdresser doesn't learn much about hairloss. Only that a lot of it is hereditary, but too much heat, chemical abuse and stress to your hair over longer periods of time can be the culprit. Good luck. I hope it works out :D PS it comes from within so often it could also be sickness or lack of vitamins etc.
+Jae Dizon everyone loses hair naturally, I believe around 50-100 strands A DAY, meaning if you are only washing your hair once a week that means you are loosening up all those fallen strands at once and will make it seem like you're going bald.
134 340 my hair hates me even tho im never in the sun, hardly ever use heat on it. then i decided to bleach it and it hates me more lol but i had to if i wanted to dye it so now im using hair treatments ans oils, and i wash my hair like once a week sometimes less, and it gets better slowly.
You're describing hair with lack of protein. Therefore, the only thing you need is a protein mask. I find that the most products someone uses, the less they know about hair care.
Alexandra Germanotta Joico's Deep-Penetrating Reconstructor is thought to be the best. It's the only one I had good results with. Follow with a hydrating mask of your choice.
To be more specific, Joico has it down to 4 steps, but you don't really need to use their products for that. First, you clarify, to make sure you're not dealing with build-up, but any clarifying shampoo will do. Second, you need to close the hair cuticle as much as possible and they have the Cuticle Sealer for that, but you can use a vinegar rinse. Third, the Deep Penetrating Reconstructor works on the damage and you can use any protein treatment for that, but this one seems to be the most concentrated. And lastly, you need hydration after the protein treatment, to make sure there's balance between the two and they have the Intense Hydrator for that, but you can use any hydrating conditioner.
Alyssa Smith No, the egg protein is too big to fit into the hair shaft. If you look at the ingredients in most of the hair products that target damaged hair, you see the protein listed as "hydrolyzed". Hydrolysis is the process in which they break the protein to make it fit. Some say they use egg masks and it makes their hair shiny, but I think that's because the egg coats the hair, like an oil, or a silicon leave-in. If the price is the problem, then just find a drugstore mask with lots of "hydrolyzed keratin" or "hydrolyzed protein" between ingredients.
I love how you use cheap things and not unaffordable mumbo jumbo. I went from red hair to silver so yeah my hair is like non existent but like blow outs really smooth my hair like I never bleached it
Jesus Christ, how do you guys wash your hair 3+ times a week?! I wash my hair like 3 times a month! I mean I guess it depends on your hair thickness but God, I could never wash my hair that much.
I love your name & same, I wash my hair once a week but if I have to go somewhere then I'll wash it 2 times and every other wash I soak my hair in coconut oil for like an hour then wash it out
USING SILK IS AMAZINGG Guys I have kinda curly hair, that is wavy when combed a lot and I had all this frizz sticking up everywhere. It was so bad I had no idea what to do. I heard silk was good for your hair so when took a shower instead of drying it with a towel I spent maybe 10 to 20 minutes while watching tv patting it with a silk tank top I own, and I wear it and sleep with it around by head after evening showers. It has not permanently fixed my hair by all mean but in one day majority frizz was gone I was so glad! Its so amazing! :D
have you tried horse shampoo in combination with some Olive Miracle leave-in conditioner? I'm not kidding about the horse shampoo either, it doesn't wash out your color and it doesn't lather AT ALL. It's super moisturizing for your hair and it doesn't rip a hole in your budget either
You are so beautiful! I appreciate your guidance with dry, damaged hair. Please never be hard on yourself. Your hair is lovely. Most of all, your skin is AMAZING! You should start a skin line!
