Part 1 How To Build A Spray Booth Room ATEX Rated Fan. In this video I am installing the ventilation for the Spray Booth/Room that I have built and we also share the type of Extract fan that we are installing.
It has to be an explosion proof fan and we opted for the Powerstar ATEX Rated 12" Extract Fan from :

Good vid Martin hard work on ur own lol. I was only looking at these extractors the other day for my little workshop. I notice in your vids in the log cabin you use a Clarke one, this is what I was going to get as I'm on a budget and only paint now and then not every day. I'm not sure now lol

Yes, I use that little clarke one but I didn't realise that there were guidelines for paint fumes that should have an explosion proof fan as the motors could ignite the fumes. Cheers Martin

Did you use some sort of caulking behind the flange before attaching it to the wall? Looks pretty slick.

It was good enough. The booth cleared in about 5 mins after painting a whole car

I would say yes as even flour dust in a flower mill can explode.
