Volvo C60 has 380cc injectors that work very well, you need adapters that are not hard to find. The car has lots more power even without a remap, Also running 17% pulley, oversized intercooler, JCW plugs.

Thats a good video - i am about to put an JCW ecu into my stock r53 & have to get bigger injectors anyway. Those SAAB ones i get for 60bucks 👍 THANKS

I did the 15% sc pulley. Does this upgrade make it run slower then stock pulley without upgrading fuel (injector or pump)?

No. Car should experience slight bump in power. Car should be safe with factory injectors and factory tune. ECU will add fuel trim to keep AFR safe under normal driving. WOT injectors may be closer to maxing out. What makes all r53's run slower even from factory is the stock ECU tune. They drop off the torque near the peak rev range to prevent transmission damage, and the engine can safely handle 300 more rpms which will give you bit more top end power range. With just ECU tune a factory S can get 20 more whp! You should install a boost gauge and see if you are getting at least 10 psi boost. You can also use the Torque app on any smartphone with bluetooth obd2 scanner and see boost level that way along with fuel trims. 15% pulley should get around 13psi past 4500 rpm. If below that and you get check engine code p1498, check rubber intercooler boots for cracks and vacuum houses for leaks. If no check engine light, might be a failed diverter valve next to throttle body. This bleeds out boost when car is at idle or under normal driving. When at full throttle, valve is supposed to shut tight to stop the boost from bleeding out. When this valve fails, which is common with higher mileage car, car will not build full boost and power will seem weaker then it should be. Detroit tuning sells upgraded diverter valves if that is the problem.

Thanks so much for the torque app, saved me some time/$$$ on installing a boost gauge for initial diagnosis.@@bigmurff6439

Are the O-rings on the fuel injectors the same top and bottom?

Wont you need a stronger fuel pump for the more fuel being put in?

Do you know if the car needs remap with 380cc injectors?

It depends on what modifications you are doing to the engine. The car's stock map will compensate up to 20% difference. So even you install the 380cc injectors on a stock mini cooper s, it can still work. If you are using a smaller supercharger pulley to increase the boost I think you are safe up to 17% undersized pulley. Anything smaller might require 420cc. Exhaust and intake modifications will be ok also. But if you start changing internals like can shaft, pistons, port the head, then you will need remap and probably larger injectors than 380cc.
