I am so happy to find this! I am a Coe descendant, and live in the U.S. My great-grandfather, Otto Schaumkel is the grandson of Jonas Coe. As I was watching this video, I felt a strong connection to everyone. Ancestors are rejoicing for this connection. Thank you Coe descendants for keeping the spirit of family alive today. Cheers
You guys should come to East New Britain Papua New Guinea where Queen Emma lived. She's popular here. There's even a chocolate named after her coz she grew cocoa and coconut plantations here. Queen Emma a true Tolai.
Thank you you respect my own country I think your share to my country‘s history specially my old generation I really miss my older generation he try to find a hard life out this generation thank you Lord that’s foundation of Samoa 🇼🇸
Years ago, I remember we used to go church with a Coe family. The son's name was Jonas too lol which is really cool. They were a great family too. Last time I heard, they moved down to Melbourne.
Woooww... My ancestors shipwrecked in Samoa from Ireland and my great great granddad married a lady named Litia also! But I'm a Bourne... Awesome how close that is!

I wish my family could do something like this because we also have a massive family and have many descendants who ran a successful copra business my Great great great great Grandfather also made the journey to Samoa and Tokelau just a little story hahaa aiga o le au Pereira
I read something on the Purcell family of Samoa... The Purcell are of Irish decent about brothers that went to Samoa. Something like that anyway. Mine is really really similar too. I'm of German, Irish Samoan decent.
wow....that's awesome. I've never seen something like this before and completely strangers without knowing they are related. I'm Bruce Lee's great grandson. He does Kung Fu but I sell potatoes for living lol
@@faigaoto2583 LOL don't be like Pinocchio ha ha ha. Just for fun. Anyway as the good book said, we're all blood related from Adam and Eve. Am I right? Cheers to this amazing family reunion by the way! 🤗😀😎
@TheBradaH ..Wow! That's insane! Bruce Lee's great grandson? He was my favorite martial artist as a teen and had a poster of him from "Enter the Dragon" movie on my bedroom wall. Your great grandfather, Bruce Lee was the GREATEST kung fu master, ever! 👍👍☺
Congratulations on bringing the family/descendants together. I wish my family do the same as well, my great great great grandfather Josef James Godinet migrated from 🇨🇵France to 🇼🇸Samoa in approximately the 1850s, after being a french catholic missionary, he married Malia Tuailemafua straight after migrating. They have 8 kids, he have another wife named Faautu mamea, They have 1 kids together in total of 9 kids ACCORDING TO FAMILYSEARCH ‼️‼️ We have many lost family members or unknown due to many adoptions and many affairs, the only event that occur for generations in my family is affair which adds up to more members. I don't know any family or clan that has both 🇨🇵French and 🇼🇸Samoa beside from the Godinet family, if there's not then all French-Samoan 🇨🇵🇼🇸 are Godinet blood🩸. IF YOU KNOW ANY THEN REPLY BELOW 😁😁
Colonialism is not very popular, as the Vietnamese about their domination by France. Even Christianity was very controversial. This lady sold her estate in 1911 and moves to an all-white country by law. What is obvious, is her desire to become a complete European.
There are islanders in the Solomon Islands group known as Shortland Islanders whom are descendants of Samoans left there directly by Emma and Phoebe on the land and plantations they owned, they are now mixed samoan and shortland island descendants, in their history they had wars with the Shortland Islanders and were never conquored, in one battle they brought out and shot Cannons which could only have been left to them by queen Emma. It would be good if any samoan descendants of queen emma could follow up on this as they too are looking for their relatives.
Is is not proven that our granddaughter has anything to do with the Coe Clan, but it's possible... We're still looking for documents. But it's very possible since her ancestor came from Samoa and was a US citizen according to a passenger list. Her husband or partner was called Richard Miesterfeldt. Unfortunately we don't have anything from her.

The more and more I dig into history the more theories come to mind....Europeans first to set sail..steam ships already built in 1750s, that means smaller steam engine boats were probably made before making them bigger ...if Noah built a big non engine Ark as described in the Bible, could this mean boats and ships had already been invented before 1500s ? Its suggests so...the monarch influence in the Pacific islands, could mean either Europeans or Africans made it to the islands way before and brought slaves with them? Are we descendents of both Africans and Europeans? Curly haired forefathers with new generations of straight and curly hair features? Brown people...I have my doubts on our ancestry.....we were definitely brought to those islands , there is no way our forefathers magically appeared on those islands...where did they come from and why?
Remember Australia was very closed racially. The "Yellow Peril" was the law in both Australia and New Zealand. The fear was Asian takeover. Of course this is never mentioned. This genetic engineering is interesting. What if a whole community of Europeans did that in 1838?
Phebe was a hero because she was not an imposter, she died with her ideals. Thank God for the American and British forces. God knows what war crimes were committed and never charged against the "Yellow Peril" that did actually exist after all -the Japanese believed they were the top race of Asians and treated all others as slaves at best. In 1937 the writing was on the wall, amazing that the German connection did not bring protection to the Island by fiat. The Axis Treaty should have done that for Samoa, but I don't know.
