I was 18, pregnant and working at a cafe. An African man dressed head to toe in African clothing came in and ordered some food. When he left, I noticed his wallet on the table and rushed to chase him down on the street. All huffed and puffed, I made it to him where he was amazed I had chased him down to return it. He then opened his wallet to check his money was there. A grand in £20 notes. He couldn't believe I didn't take it. He split the money with me and told me I was very blessed. He prayed for me, and we went about our day. The moral of the story is. The instant I seen the wallet, my first thoughts were to return it, not look in it, or take what's inside, and because of that, I was blessed that day with £500 for my baby. That man really helped me out, and I will never forget him.
I am like you. similar story line happened to me but I was not pregnant. I have never had the urge to steal. it is not worth it. the good Lord holds us accountable for our actions and as hard as my life is at times struggling financially I never want to mess up. I want to see my mom again in heaven. I have never heard of this type of bag before. I am very simple I do not need luxury to make me happy. I am had the man rewarded you for your kindness and honesty.
I'm in Ottawa and my purse would still be there untouched. I know because my dumbazz keeps forgetting her stuff everywhere and nothing has ever been stolen or looked into
Last year I went to a bar on my birthday. I drank too much and needed air. My husband took me outside and I decided I wanted to go home and we just left. My black purse was left on a black chair in a dark bar. I didn't realize until the morning when I wanted to Thank my sister for the gift she gave me. I couldn't find my phone which was in my purse. It hit me all at once. My wallet, my car keys, my phone- my purse GONE! I had to wait hours for the bar to open and when it did I called and they had my purse. NOTHING was touched. I was so grateful. There are still honest people in the world and I'm glad they were at THAT bar THAT night.
Know the feeling. I put my phone down to wash my cup and a coworker’s. Forgot to go back for it. Freaked out when I went to go home and couldnt find it. I did eventually have it returned to me - an honest employee spotted it and handed it in to a manager. There are 300 employees!!!
Also we don't know what even in the bag. It could be a bomb inside. Happened in my country just recently. There's a package on a car that was parked in front a store, and a worker there went to check the package. And it exploded. The worker died 😢 P/s: sorry for broken english, hopefully it is still understandable.
Sometimes they touch to see the info of owner. How are you going to return it w/o knowing who it belongs? 2nd, check the bag just in case if anything is missing, I am aware either it was stolen prior seeing it or I could miss anything.
Well, if anyone wants a job or to keep their job, make sure the table gets cleared and cleaned before she gets back and the bag is still there. They will pay you to carry their things and bring their friends back also. Never know, if you are polite you might end up with a new friend that can fly you to another city for a week's holiday :/ 🤔 🎶 😉
@@AndreUtrecht you are correct. But as we should all remember a driver license, credit cards and bank cards are all done the same way for everyone. Still have to go in person and prove it’s you to get a new license, still have to call and cancel all the credit cards to new ones issued and call the bank to let them know you lost your card to have it replaced and a hold put on your accounts.
I had an incident a couple of years ago. I went for lunch with some clients to the busy little eatery across the road from the office park. We sat on outside benches and I placed my handbag under the bench. We had our lunch and had a good natter for about 15 to 20 mins, thereafter we went our separate ways, me to my office. After half an hour I realized that I don't have my handbag. Rushing back out to the eatery across the road, I searched the bench where I sat, and saw nothing. One of the attendants from the filling station came over to ask if he could help. I explained that I had left my handbag behind and was looking for it. He directed me to the cashier who could assist. After explaining, she asked me what color was the bag and if I could name a few items in the bag to ensure that it is the correct bag. After confirming, she handed over the bag to me. I opened the bag to check that all the contents were still there. I was so grateful and thankful for these people's honesty and keeping my bag safe. This experience has taught me that there are still many good people in this world.
I left my phone in a shopping cart outside in the cart return spot. I got a couple of lights away in the Taco Bell drive-thru & realized I didn't have it. I drove like crazy to check & it was gone. I went inside to check at Customer Service to see if it had been turned in & it hadn't. I asked if they could call my number & it rang behind me! The guy & his wife/gf were turning it in! I started crying & hugged them & thanked them. They probably thought I was weird but I was just so happy & thankful!
Ty 4 posting ur story. We all need to hear ab ppl who r honest, caring etc. This world has gotten crazy & it’s easy to think there r fewer decent ppl than there actually is. 🙏🏼💜👍
Once i found a watch in the office toilet. But i did not take it. I just told my friends someone left her watch in the toilet. Later it was not there anymore when the owner went to get it.
I went to Target one day and I was returning my cart and there was a wallet STUFFED. It was so heavy. I walked straight inside and gave it to customer service and I didn’t bother opening it. I have found multiple wallets, but the biggest tip is just don’t look inside. I also learned from my sister in law recently that it’s better not to leave the belongings to customer service because they can steal, so just leave your first name and number and description of the item in case anyone calls so you can return it yourself. I bet like so many others, we wouldn’t even know this bag was special in any way lol.
Yeah i rather hold onto stuff i do look inside and call their banks phone number on back of card the bank then calls the client gives them my number and it gets returned.
If you find it you keep it and return it. Don't trust someone else. Just bc they have a job and work in customer service or are a mgr doesn't mean crap to me.
It had to be a fake. It was a test. It’s being filmed on purpose. I’m sure there’s a note in the bag saying, “It’s not ur bag, put it back, why take it, it’s fake too.”
I left my purse with plane ticket in the airport bathroom. I was walking through the terminal when I realised . I rushed back and saw it propped up on a shelf by the shop close by. As it had my passport in in it they knew it was mine. So very grateful for honest people. (Everything was still in it)
I forgot my purse in the ladies bathroom stall once and remembered almost immediately. I rushed back to get it and someone was in the stall already. I knocked on the door and said please hand me my purse. A girl said just a minute but she sounded kinda funny. I kept knocking and asking her to give me my purse but she wouldn’t open the door. So I pulled hard on the door and it opened and she was sitting there going through my wallet and had my cash in her hand. I was shocked and furious all at the same time. I humiliated her in front of everyone in the bathroom and told her how disgusting she was for stealing my money and being a thief. She looked totally embarrassed. I hope she learned a good lesson that day. Edit: I thought it went without saying that I learned a lesson too that day. I learned to be more responsible with my things and that not everyone is going to have morals and integrity.
If it had been me and I was there busy wiping my butt or changing a pad or something and I told someone 'just a minute' but they continued to stand outside the door and persistently knock the door, I doubt that person will ever get their bag back :-) If someone was polite to me though and respected that that I might be busy using the toilet and was patient then I'd happily return their stuff
You re lucky that thief still had remorse, I have seen some thieves just took stuff from the store and kept walking out even stopped by security and other shoppers
I was at Seattle Children’s Hospital with my cousin and her extremely sick baby. I heard an announcement for me to come to the volunteers desk on the first floor. When I arrived, the volunteer hands me my wallet. I had no idea I had lost it. Two young girls found it and turned it in. They didn’t leave their name or anything. Inside was my entire two week pay check, in cash. $325. This was in 1985 and I was very pregnant with our first baby. We had little money and our rent was $300. My mom and I were shocked and looked around for “two young girls” but never found them to thank them. However, as we went into the vending machine area I hear a man on the pay phone crying to his wife. They were from across the sound, their child was sick in the hospital and he had to leave her to go back across the ferry to work. His wife was with their other kids at home. He didn’t know how he was going to pay the rent. I felt at that moment that God had taken me to this man. I gave him every dollar in my wallet and told him I lost it all but two honest little girls turned it in. I have no idea looking back how we paid our rent that month but God has never let us down. I believe those two young ladies may have been angels. ☺️
Wow! That is awe inspiring. We receive when we give with an open heart, with no thought of recompense. Synchronicities are happening all the time if we are just open to be aware of them. ❤
I was 10, riding home from school and found a purse on the road. I checked for an address and it was the house right in front of me. I was so excited to return the purse, imagining how happy and relieved the lady would be. Nope. She snatched the purse out of my hands, checked through it and said, "You're lucky nothing is missing!", and slammed the door in my face. I left in tears. So much for encouraging honesty.
I am so sorry you had such a bitter experience. Some people are rude, they have low intelligence and no manners. The most important is that you did the right thing, and I thank you for that. Don't let the reaction of a primitive woman to disappoint you. Wish you all the best!
People are scum, I had 3 parcels delivered to my house over the week, they was for another house in a different street with the same door number as mine,it took me a few different attempts to find the correct house so I can understand why the postman delivered them to my house in the first place. Finally I found the correct street and house and the guy looked at the packages to see if I had opened them and just closed the door in my face without saying thanks , after I explained how hard I’d tried to find his house
If that's the response I got from going out of my way to help the guy I sure as hell wouldn't do it again. I'd call the delivery company and let them sort it out. I repay kindness with kindness, Unfortunately there are too may people that don't have that mindset.
We were in osaka, japan when i forgot my backpack in a toilet there,i really did not remember it but a young lady a japanese came to us running n handed us my backpack!really japanese people are honest.thank God!!!
Just say some of them they stole our helmet off our motorcycle in Tokyo. I ask the man did he see some one steal it he said no but you was sitting out there when we pull up to go to the club and you still sitting out there when we came out we were only in there for a hour.
Why would they want your bag they designed and made for you? No country is free from thieves and criminals. Japan has a very small amount of them comparing where you came from.
I’ve witnessed Japanese people be extremely dishonest just like every other race and culture is capable of doing. They’re no different. A Japanese couple tried severely taking advantage of my trust and kindness when purchasing a home from them. Luckily I was able to catch them in their extreme deceit before things were finalized and back out of a very bad deal that could’ve eaten up all my savings and bankrupted me in the end to repair all the hidden horrors in the house that looked so great on the outside!! I’m glad you got lucky with the person who found your backpack! In America the majority of people are honest and trustworthy too. But there are always bad apples in every bunch!
I'm at an age where I don't want any more stuff. I went through a huge purge and it felt so good, like a huge weight came off me. Really it's all just stuff.
Nothing appeals to me now I'm at the age where I couldn't care less about designer shit .it's only making them rich. I would rather donate to the poor and animal welfare as I do
once I was in japan, I left my bag with lots lots of money and passport in it. A lady ran after me and yelled at me and returned my bag without a penny missing. That's what I admire about Japan.
Treat people how you would want to be treated & don't do on to other's what you wouldn't want done to you. 💯 I live by this quote here, Thank You Mommy & am 50yrs.old
I left my Louis Vuitton speedy 35 on a shop counter by accident - long story. It was safe. I have left iPhone 13 pro max before the 14 was out. Same thing. I’ve been lucky. Or I live in a hood area. I think most ppl are decent maybe.
Yes but if you go to any US town, it will be taken care of for you and be up at the counter where someone is keeping it safe for you. This actually happened to me.
Years ago I workes in my family deli in Adelaide Australia. A woman left her entire wallet on the counter amongst the boxes of chocolate bars and later when I was restocking I found it. I opened it only to look for ID which I found her drivers license, looked her up in the phone book and called and told her I had found her wallet. When she arrived she came in and said her name and I was happy because I was able to give her the wallet back.SHE opened it in front of me and counted her money and then accused me of taking $20 out of it!!! I was flabbergasted, I said " Why the hell would I call you to come get your wallet if I stole something from it? I would have just taken all the money and thrown the rest in the rubbish!!!" She then INSISTED that I took the money!! I told her to get the hell out and never come back!
I would have just taken it inside to the cashier/manager/front desk of building. I might even look inside for a wallet with ID to have a name to search for the owner on social media and hopefully find them to tell them who the bag was left with. I would feel bad leaving it on table for someone less honest to just take it. Losing your IDs can be a pain. I know this personally.
I once left a sweet woven bag from Peru on the back of the chair I'd been settled on in a restaurant. We left in a hurry, realizing we were almost late to get to a beach wedding. At the wedding i realized I didn't have my purse. I borrowed my son's phone and stepped away to call the restaurant. They found my bag a minute after I left and assured me it was fine, locked away in their safe. I was lucky. I had a cash deposit of several thousand dollars from a client I met with earlier that morning for a mural project I just contacted that morning. I took a $50 bill and tried to give it to the sweet owner, she shook her head and stepped back, waving her hands at me... I smiled and told her it would make me feel good to give her this... Then I placed it on the counter and told her she could accept it with my gratitude or allow someone else to take it. Laughing, she graciously picked it up and hugged me. She said she'd give it to the server who brought my bag to her... And she did just that- the next time I popped in for a meal the same server tended to our table. She hugged me too and was just as gracious in telling me that this wasn't necessary on my part, but she grokked how important ir was for me to do this. (We'd talked about the book Stranger in a Strange Land the morning i was there. I grinned at the reference.)
@@astormyday1313 Yes!! Isn't that fun? Mina is Indian and Heinlein's book was the first one she chose to read when she got here, she was delighted that I read it. Having a literary connection with someone from another culture is wonderful. Because of this conversation my twenty something son decided to read it as well, and this was such a bonus...
I accidentally left my hand bag in a bus with a lot of cash in it. When I went to the bus station, they gave my bag back to me with everything still in it. It was a London bus.
I dropped a pair of prescription glasses in a bus in Lachine Quebec. Never got them back . An open door of a business once when I went in with no one in it , thought it was a trick looking for cameras . An open door asks more questions than a house with all blinds closed
That doesn't always happen. I never got my phone and umbrella back on a London bus in Richmond. Also my friends bags were stolen in a pub near Liberty's not o'nells. Plus a pub in the posh part of Kilburn
I found a man's wallet in the grocery store parking lot. I took it inside and got in line at the service desk to turn it in. I never even looked inside. As I'm standing there, a man snatched it from my hand and said "that's mine!" And walked away. He wasnt appreciative or thankful in any way. I'd do the same again, regardless, because it's who I am.
At a bookstore when I noticed an iphone on the shelf. I took it and was on the way to the customer service counter when a lady rushed up to me saying thank goodness I found her phone. I asked her to unlock it to make sure it was really hers and she didn't get mad and unlocked the phone immediately. She only thanked me but it was enough because I was with my kids and they learnt that a person's gratitude should be sufficient.
It’s only worth 22k because society has been told and they believe that it’s worth 22k. And I agree I never take what doesn’t belong to me. It’s obvious she doesn’t care about the cost.
It was a camera set up to film how the public would respond to a handbag left unattended. Otherwise how would they have gotten the changes in camera angles from passersby, to the old man who sat down at the table before moving the handbag to the back chair before rummaging around in it? The moving angles proves it wasn't just a security camera mounted on the wall. Besides, leaving a $22,000 bag assures it would not be unattended.
It’s clearly a fake to text ppl. No one is going to leave their purse on such a busy street. It had to be a fake and a test. It’s being filmed on purpose. I’m sure there’s a note in the bag saying, “It’s not ur bag, put it back, why take it, it’s fake too.”
My brother, a businessman had to buy a Gucci bag and some accessories for his clients in the Gucci flagship shop while holidaying in Milan. He was in the company of his 3 teenage children after which they all stopped by a nearby cafe with their bags . Sitting flanked together around the small table, they put the bags on their own seats. Suddenly two waiters came around fussing over napkins and water etc …then another couple walked by, squeezing past. My brother immediately felt suspicious and grabbed onto his shopping bag while trying to push the waiters aside as they were all crowding around their table. It all happened very fast. The couple took off , very discreetly snatching the other bag of purchase from his younger son. And when my bother gave chase, one passer by even tried to refrain him. Fortunately, the most expensive item was safe.Otherwise the loss could have been worse. Beware of Gucci shop assistants, the workers at nearby cafes/restaurants.They all worked together in a systematic organised team. Don’t carry your purchases sightseeing around after shopping.
I was a server in college. I waited on this awesome young couple that tipped me really well and came back to give an extra $100 when they overheard I was going to Vegas the next day. The busser found the man's wallet in between the booth and the cushion and gave it to me. I walked out front to look for them, they were gone, so I locked it in the manager's office. The man came back frantically looking for it about half an hr later. My manager was curious bc the man was so anxious. Yall!!! I've never seen that much cash irl. I brought him his wallet, he opened it in front of me, gave me another $500, and $500 for the busser that found it. Best day I ever had as a waitress lol.
We were at a pool hall and my husband had his phone on a table right behind him. These guys came up and started chatting with him and his buddy. When he turned Round the phone was gone. The guy who stole it paid with his credit card at the bar was on camera stealing it. Best part was the tracker on the phone took us straight to the phone at the guys house we knocked on the door nobody answered we stood down the street and saw them come out and drive away 15 minutes later the bar called us. The phone was returned. Security features are worth the time to set up.
usually to the police I found ones a wallet in the road and I didn't open to see what was inside, just taking to the police station and I live in uk to
One time I was at the mall, looking at some purses for sale that were all randomly stacked on a big table. I put my purse down to look at them but when I left, I forgot to pick up and take my purse with me. When I realized it, I ran back to get it and it was still right where I left it.. I guess nobody wanted my random purse, thankfully.
Most if not all of these people would have been foreigners. Personally I can’t imagine wasting all that money on a bag. If anyone does they are stupid. I’d have picked it up and handed it to the staff, as eventually the owner would come back to the shop.
@@chemanta1 I'm Greek-American. I'm white. I'm considered a foreigner in the UK. Any Brit, Italian, German or basically anyone outside of Greece would be considered a foreigner in my country.
Yes perhaps it was but if so it failed. It seems more likely that it was made for just this purpose, a label that attracts attention even though there were no thieves
I would pick it up lol thinking someone forgot their bag... I wouldn't have a clue how much it was. I would think its a nanny bag, with it being left behide. No lady leaves tiger handbag unattended
My sister's was visiting London with her husband waiting to board a train. Someone snatched her purse from her. She ran after the thief. The thief then didn't have them purse when she caught up. She turned around and saw a man with a small blanket over something. She grabbed the blanket off and then her purse. She pointed her finger at him and said shame on you. Then ran back to her husband and boarded the train.
Which is why I think they are generic, overpriced and bought by people who usually lack a true sense of style or fashion sense. They are a "look at me" statement, and that's it. Meh, I get my validation from more legitimate pursuits 🤷🏼♀️
That happened with my phone. I was working at The Fair and I left it in the bathroom. My daughter went looking for it and kept calling it. 2 girls had it and they were looking through my phone and kept ignoring the calls when my daughter spotted it and she had to literally grab it out of the girls hand. People are so hard up I swear. I l lost my phone at Denver International Airport and McCarren Airport in Las Vegas and had it returned to me but in my home town. It didn't happen.
I found a jewelry box full of diamonds 💎 and everything. I found it on top of the mailbox. I brought it in my apartment and found diamond 💍 rings and everything. I took it and turned it in to the management of the building. I found out it was an elderly lady that lived in the building. She wanted to sell some of it because she wanted some cash. She actually had her wedding band. In there. Can you imagine? She was very grateful and invited me over for tea 🍵
True, I tend to wonder if this was all a test. However, I've gone to the supermarket before, where I see women who have their large purses wide open on their grocery carts and will leave their carts there while they go here and there to pick up things. I don't know if they are so naive, trusting or forgetful!
@@Surftouka i think a little of each. This must be universal, im in Scotland & see this all the time in supermarkets ( your grocery store). I never victim blam BUT some set themselves up to robbed when opening their purse & leaving it to the world.
@@Surftouka or nowadays nothing in my large shiny bag is worth stealing! It's all in my phone which is tied to my wrist.. and even then my phone is the only actually valuable sellable thing, thanks to scammy phone providers which won't brick them when stolen but just lie about it!
Back when iPads cost hundreds of dollars, someone left it on the mall bench. I sat next to it until the owner realized they left it. So many eyed it with interest as I sat next to it. Owner was so grateful! Said very kind words to me:)
I went to a movie and was wearing a cashmere designer scarf given to me as a Christmas gift. When I got out of my seat and walked a ways I realized I must have dropped it, whereupon I rushed back to my seat. It hadn't been 60 seconds but it was gone. No one turned it in. People are dishonest and will take things if they're accessible, as has been shown in many videos like this one. In Japan people are so honorable and kind to guests. If you lose your purse or wallet it's very likely that you will get it back.
Absolutely! I saw young drunk men on the pavemwnts in Tokyo. Their brieffcases, wallets, phones visible to passers by. And no one stopped to take anything!
I think because some people will believe it lol. And some people would buy it. It's even funnier to dress like everyone else and secretly have a lot of money. People love to judge by appearances, don't they?
I lost my non expensive purse at the zoo one day, left it at the table where we were having lunch, got up and left it behind. There was only $80 cash and some chapstick lol. Five minutes later I realized, went back to the scene, an employee was bringing it to front and the cash ad lip balm had already been taken.
@@cajunbelle yeah that's the majority mindset these days. Or we could as a society look down on thieves but we don't. And forgetting can happen to anyone. @@Nelindah in fact many of us are highly amused by, and buy, knockoffs. It's hilarious that we can enjoy something much the same for a reasonable cost! Way to go Asia!
Those people are just concerned… you can tell the lady and the older gentleman are trying to decide who it belongs to/ …is that your point?… that they are honest…. Not sure I understand your # thief
That's what we do! Panic a bit, flap about a bit, take it into the shop! I can't speak for the old man. Old people are different! He was probably looking for a bus pass to tell them who it is! I can't get over the server just leaving it there. That was wicked.
I thought it was proving a point that while those who steal are looking for money inside the bag they are completely unaware that the bag itself is the real treasure.
@karendixon401 it's attractiveness as a bag is subjective! Maybe that was the point. Though don't those bags have codes? So if you try to resell it they can find it?
If you are a thief. = it means you are a rascal too = As the proverb says A thief is a thief whether he still a diamond or a cucumber If I was there I will simply go inside the shop and say someone forget the bag simple as that Here in England this kind of beautiful attitude EXSIST. Love from a beautiful timeless bellissima lady full of class and elegance and grace ❣️❤️ Many thanks ❤️👌🏼❣️👍❤️
I am a multimillionaire with a $20 handbag….why would anyone spend that kind of money on a handbag? That’s (probably) why I am financially comfortable and they (probably) are not~
Do not do that if your not looking to get your whole purse stolen, I've had my cell phone sitting on top of my purse in a shopping car in Walmart and someone grabbed it, this is just trying to set someone up
I once worked at a restaurant where there was a fancier restaurant across the hall. It was a buffet. It opened at 5 pm and reservations only. Then this lady dressed really nice came in and said she was looking for someone. The people who were hostess said sure go in an look for your friend, but the the lady walked in and apparently while the all the people at one table were at the buffet, she walked over to the the empty table and saw their purses sitting on the ground and she took I don't know how many purses and put them in her huge sack that had a handle and tissue paper in it to cover up her theft. She left and people came back from the buffet and asked where their purses were. And then the people working the front of the restaurant realized that the lady went through and stole people 's purses. I bet she got about 4 or 5 purses. Always take your purse with you while going through the buffet, no matter how many trips you go through the buffet. I was shocked to hear it. It was a classy restaurant. Apparently thieves are always on the lookout for stealing others things.
I witnessed this in a London shoe store. A lady sat be side trying on shoes like I was. She got up to ask for another size. A man sat down in her spot & laid his coat over her purse. Stood up & walked away with her purse. I grabbed my things & her & we chased him down the crowded street to no avail. I spent the rest of the day helping her contact her husband & taking her to the bank to close her accts, call the police in the local village she lived to check on her home because thieves had her keys, and went to the store & filed a report with them & then to the london police to file report with them! She stepped away for a second. No more & all this took place. This was my 2nd trip abroad & was a learning experience for me. The next time I went prepared with the good walking shoes I bought in London & a small cross over leather bag. My first stop was to the American Embassy to get familiar with the location & things I should be aware of as a female American tourist touring alone in England while my husband was at trade shows during the day. I visited london 10 more times as a tourist while my husband worked. England is a beautiful country! The cotswolds are amazing. Every little village looks like its from a beautiful fairytale. If i could I would rent a small home in the cotswolds for a month's vacation within walking distance to the local pubs where you find the best foods where the locals go!
I left my wallet in a cart at Walmart in Missouri and didn't notice until I got home...someone found it and turned it in with everything Intact...there are good people everywhere I'm blessed I ran in to a few in my lifetime 🙏🏽
I would take it and bring it into the restaurant so they can hold it for the customer… regardless, if they’re holding a table or not, I really don’t trust people around somebody’s personal belongings.
I travelled from Hamilton in Scotland to Inveraray one time.. on the way there we stopped at Luss to use the bathroom. I left my purse in a stall...all I had in it was £10 my debit card and 2 credit cards plus random points cards like Morrisons, and nectar. I didn't notice my purse was gone until about 10 mins after we left Luss.. we went back but it was already gone. About 2 or 3 hours later I received a text msg from my neighbour, a woman was outside my house and said she found my purse in Luss she left the name of the hotel in East Kilbride she was staying and said I could pick it up anytime. From Inveraray, you drive past east Kilbride to get to Hamilton. The woman had contacted my bank you gave my address but also cancelled my debit card... thanks to this lady I got my purse with all my cards and money back. And the only loss I had was waiting a few days for a new debit card ... which is no loss at all really. Scottish people for the win
I would take it to the checkout or check for a phone number and call the owner. I once found a purse in a telephone booth. I found the phone number and called the girl who lived hundreds of miles away. I told her that I had turned it into the police and threw away all the pills in there just in case they were illegal. I did not want her to fear picking the purse up. She laughed and thanked me and assured me they were prescription.
I somehow left my wallet in a cab, and only to realise it 10 minutes later, after the cab was long gone... But he called me on the 12th minute and told me to meet him at the same place where I was dropped off. Everything was intact, including a different currency and gave him some money as a token of thanks. I wished I got his name and car number to inform his cab company what wonderful deed he has done. Bless Him
I once found a cheap purse in the bathroom and gave it to security. Manager came up, I said I found it and returned it. They looked at me like a thief. Best thing to yo is call an employee. And keep walking.
But likee the fact that everyone was concerned about it, makes me wonder if its bcuz everyone knows the brand..? I feel like where im from no one would even care they’d just want whatever is inside😅
There are two things that should be done one is to open the bag and see if there is identification or something or bring it in to the cafe and tell them someone forgot their bag outside
years years ago , when i was a student , after a long bus trip from one side to the other of the city i arrived at home ..at night i needed something from my bag but my wallet was not in .. i paniked because all my cards , entry cards , bank cartoon , identity card , trip card , some money , my everything was in the wallet...i cried a lot and didnt know what to do .. a week later i had a parcel from the post ..my wallet was in it and nothing was lost and there was a note in an envelope..it was saying " dear little lady ..i' ve found your wallet under the seat of the bus ..sorry for checking it but i tried to catch your adress and now it is this..i hope you will be much more attentive next time ! be very successful at your school .. " i have never forgot this kind person in those passing years ..i hope God blessed him ..
Everyone telling their stories about getting their wallets & purses back. Me: went to into gas station to pay for gas. Left my phone on the counter. By the time I pumped $20 worth of gas my phone was gone.
