This is better and more Star Trek than any of the new Star Trek movies or series.

I love it when characters meet other versions of themselves, but it's so weird to me that they don't have a closer bond in many instances, not just this show but in fringe for example, I know some of them were a little evil but I think if I met myself, either in an AU or in the past/future, it would be a huge opportunity for me to understand or date myself.

Never got the moclon view on females of other species. As an one-gender species (atleast as they claim) the two genders of other species should seem totally foreign and there should be no reason to value one over the other. ofcourse we by now know that they do have (very rarely) females, but even then the "males" seem to have both sexual organs kind of devaluing their view on the genders of other species. Though it does make me wonder if their species was geneticly manipulated to only produce males with all necessary organs to create more of their species. Could explain their focus on their military.

Really two stories in one. But the first arc doesn't make sense biologically: The two sexes don't interact as sexes; they interact as separate species, so one wiping the other out is inevitable, whether they want to or not.
