It's hard to figure Peri out. One minute she hates John Paul because of his affair with Danny and she blames him for the breakup of Danny's and Sam's marriage and the accident, then the next minute she thinks he's the best teacher she's ever had and has a petition to reinstate him. Teenagers, eh?
Ok this sucks! I thought Ste was going to be the one to fight for the relationship and try to get John Paul back for once, not the other way around! I wanted Ste to fight for this for once! Ste was in the wrong with this not John Paul! He was in the wrong by making John Paul feel guilty and bad for saying how he feels or saying that he's unhappy or disappointed or anything that isn't positive about the relationship! So it's always John Paul who's apologizing and putting in the effort to save their relationship, even when he is having a hard time himself and Ste isn't really supporting him! I can't stand it anymore! If Ste's too prideful to fight for this or even say sorry to his own husband, maybe John Paul should just give up altogether! And WTF! This is so bad for John Paul! Very bad! Harry is still in school, and while I know that if Harry is of age in the UK it doesn't matter what he and John Paul did at that club, if John Paul becomes a teacher at that school again it will matter and John Paul will get into a lot of trouble! This is such bullshit! When are the writers going to let John Paul catch a break! When is he going to get his happy healthy relationship with someone that cares for him more than they do themselves and not have all this shit thrown at him! It's been only a year since the rape, less than that since John Paul was put in prison, Fin's trial, two of his sister's dying, finding out Ste cheated on him more than once, him being drugged, his nan in hospital, finding out Ste got Sinead pregnant, finding out his husband is HIV positive, etc.! You see what I mean! A year or less! Is it any wonder that he's flipping out when the person who started this terrible year for him gets in contact with him again! Ste should be supporting him not tearing him down for feeling upset!
I was very disappointed by this episode too. I hate that they made JP grovel to Ste once again, it should have been Ste fighting for him for once, as everything JP had said to him in the previous episode was absolutely true.
FrancyM1979 Again no one understand's what it is to be a addict, I mean what JP did for Ste the other day is someting addict's and their partner's are going to have to deal with everyday, and it's not babysitting it's being supportive. If Jp is not strong willed like Brendan would be to deal with the situation then he should leave Is'ent anyone going to give Ste credit for not doing the coke, he could have easily done it without a second thought but he did'ent he reached out for help, granted it cost JP but from what we saw in the end of this episode it would bot have made a difference Ste is right about that JP needs to deal with Finn. Nancy Cottone I have to admit you do make some good points here! What I was more upset about wasn't that JP helped Ste, because that was good! It was that Ste was putting JP down in the restaurant for being upset! Making JP feel guilty for voicing his unhappiness and feelings about the relationship yesterday! And JP shouldn't have to feel guilty about voicing how he feels! If a partner does that to their spouse or lover, it just shuts the person down and makes them reluctant to trust that partner and tell that partner anything! Ste had a point about JP dealing with Finn, but the way he was acting and talking to JP before that, like JP had no right to voice anything about their relationship yesterday, wasn't right!
Candace Garrett Everybody say's thing's they regret when they are stressed he just said he just saw two people walk out when they saw he was there. JP should have made a stronger arguement. Brendan without the violence could hold his own with Ste and tell him that only him can fix the stuation

Ste is right. John Paul has never really dealt with Finn did to him. He needs to get into a support group for rape victims. Actually they both need to do this; JP for rape victims and a support group for partners of AIDS/HIV survivors, and Ste for AIDS/HIV patients and one for drug abusers. Maybe then they will be able to get their marriage (and their lives) back on track.
Or they could save all those endless hours and just let Ste get run over by a bus. And J.P. needs to take some self defense classes so future students won't try to emulate Finn's intimidation of a teacher.
A lie is a lie. Once trust is taken out of relationship there's nothing to be done. At least at the end Brendan and Ste learned how to be somewhat honest with each other
Nancy Cottone Considering JP lied because Ste was practically on the edge of abusing drugs again, I don't blame JP at all. It's *not* JP's fault that his husband was too weak to handle the truth. If anything, Ste should be sorry that he put JP in that position, where JP had to choose to either lie to Ste, or to risk him relapsing. I liked Ste and was sorry for him in the beginning. But honestly, he's not good for JP. Their relationship has been all about Ste lately. Why do you think JP has never really dealt with his trauma? It's because he had to deal with Ste's problems first!
Maskedtruth Obviously no one knows what it is to have a addiction, what do you think Ste is supposed to bounce right back that every day is not going to be a struggle. I don't like JP and Ste together in the first place, but if JP can't deal with the everyday struggle of being married to a addict he should walk away. Ste does'ent love him anyway,
I tried to figure out how old Harry should be on the show, but I can't find anything. So we can just guess. But he seems to be in the same age as Holly and she is 17.
Age of consent in the UK is 16, so as long as JP doesn't have sex with him while being "in a position of trust", i.e his teacher, he should be fine. This all makes me very uncomfortable, though. I don't want anything like this to disrupt JP's life. Almost anything else would be better.

JP can't win for losing can he? How many more problems are they going to pile on one person at a time. When I first read they were going to do this storyline right when his husband finds out he's got HIV, I was hoping that Hollyoaks would stop it but no, they still went ahead with it.
