Fabulous! This has given me ideas for Christmas cards - branches with berries, branches with roses, or branches with roses, berries, sequins and beads for frost (I’d call that one The Full Corrine! 😂

These are called Ruched Roses and I have been trying to learn how to make them. Thank you so much for showing us. They are in Jennifer’s new book but in order for me to learn how I really need a visual. Up until this video it was not on RU-vid at all. Thanks bunches

Gosh I used to do ribbon embroidery. Your lovely video has reminded me, sure I’ve got some ribbon somewhere, can’t wait to give it a go again. 🥰

I love the little silk ribbon roses. I’m interested in what you call a grub rose though. Some people call “bullion stitch” grub stitch.
@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
Yes that’s the one.. it’s interesting the different stitch names for the same stitch!

I love the Portuguese Stem Stitch too. I noticed you only wrapped the stitch once. I learned it by wrapping it twice. So you may have invented another stitch afterall. I might have to try it with one wrap. Love your branch with the Ruched Roses as well. Again you invented a new stitch. The instructions show starting with a Colonial Knot. I think the knot is there to prevent the ribbon from going through to the back, but since you didn't pull it tight, it worked. Please don't take this as a criticism. Just an observation and proof that anything goes, and there are no rules. 😊 As usual, your work is beautiful. If only I had your ability to plan a composition like you do.
@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
Lol .. I’m so known for breaking all the rules.. lol. I just love stitching!

The burgundy ribbon roses just added so much to the piece. I was just looking at the Portuguese stem stitch and watching you made it so much easier to understand. A lot of my crazy quilt squares were done with a good deal of ribbon embroidery. I know it is addicting.

Thank you so much for sharing all your talent and knowledge with us all. I have cross stitch but after watching your videos all through covid I want to branch out to learn to sew and embroidery. I live in Texas and I cannot find silk ribbon nor can I find all the beautiful fabrics that I see y’all work with. Please share where to find the silk ribbon especially. I have written a poem about the garden of my heart and I want to make a beautiful garden full of flowers. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I love your work! Please can you tell me what you use to store your beads?
@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
I was using a bead storage box : Elizabeth Ward. From Amazon but is expensive.. but cheaper ones are now available half the price so shop around. Best of like! Corrine
