Hybrid version is less powerful than non-hybrid. YS Khong has tested both up Genting and commented the non-hybrid is more powerful. I test driven both hybrid and GR Sport, the latter has more powerful and linear acceleration. The hybrid engine sounds weird like it is struggling when you do hard acceleration.
@@aderenlimit's not exactly the same. The GR Sport suspension is tuned to be stiffer both front and rear, and the steering had ECU sports tuning. Lastly a performance bracing was added. Altogether 3 mechanical changes or tuning and not just facelift. The difference between the GR Sport and non-hybrid may be small but I believe there should a noticeable difference. If there is opportunity I hope you can test drive the GR Sport up Genting. I only test driven the hybrid and GR Sport but around the Toyota showroom at low speed with many cars driving at city speeds so there is little opportunity to test the handling of the car during hard cornering. However, during the short test drive of both Corolla Cross hybrid and GR Sport, I can feel the hybrid to be less powerful in hard acceleration.
