I also tried the muller passing in my franchi affinity 3.5.percent of shot inside 30 inch circle was good but pattern had many holes in it. The factory mod. Had very even pattern , with only slightly less % of shot in the 30 inch circle. Shots were at 40 yds and shot size was #2-#1- BB-BBB steal. Pretty much same results .throughout. proving each gun will have to be patterned . Might work on some guns not on others
You really need to fire 3 or 4 at separate sheets. To see if your ammo is consistent. Plus… you will struggle to get a decent pattern with any choke if you use BBs.
I’ve never tried the Muller chokes yet. I’ve used Kicks for turkey and waterfowl with great results. I shoot a SX4 20 ga. Not too impressed with the Muller chokes looking at those patterns. Plus you can almost buy two Kicks or Carlson chokes for the price of one Muller choke. This season I’m shooting a Carlson’s Bone Buster (mid-range) with Boss #4. You as well. After watching surviving duck seasons video I would recommend ppl try the mūller because you send them back if there not amazing. I would expect most guns would do well with them. Just not mine. I mean not horrible results, but I expected more for the price and hype.
You aren't the only one with bad experiences with mullers..it's not just your gun..guaranteed..I'd like to know the actual number of chokes that get returned because they fall embarrassingly short of the hype. Nobody will ever know
Ya after my video muller recommended I try tss or a passing and I did but unfortunately we can’t get tss in alberta yet and as you may have notice none of the muller chokes could shoot bb better which is all i’m interested in for coyote. If I get some tss that may change. i’ve only seems tss in 9 and a mixed 7&9 at canadian tire here.
You are waisting your time measuring between fliers. Count pellets in a 30" circle and look at the outside edge of pattern. Ps ufo isn't for BB Shot. Passing would be better for big shot. Over construction is as bad as too open.
