I'm an Ohio State fan and I respect him. He's without a doubt the greatest coach of all time. I find him hard to hate as a person and coach, personally. Wanting to beat him, sure. Haters have to hate as a natural coping mechanism. He has ties with Ohio too, going to Kent state, and coaching at Ohio state under Earle Bruce, so that is cool for me.
Absolute legend. Always treated every game like it was the National Championship game. Whether it was against an FCS team or the actual national championship.
It was the opposite for me. For my parents, if they were yelling at me and I had the AUDACITY to look at them instead of hang my head in shame, it was the face cheeks instead of the butt cheeks that got slapped
We had a coach like that. He'd be spitting all over you and the frothy spittle would foam up in the corners of his mouth. Didn't need a shower after the game. LOL
I know im randomly asking but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
The Butch Jones era was a rollercoaster that eventually crashed. But his speech about media manipulating stories was an example that he is a good man that cared about the players at UT
why did I start crying when the coaches get emotional. I guess bc iv just grown up playing football and I know how emotional those big wins and tough losses are
I mean it happened to happen right when we got Rich Rod as our coach and went to shit so I don't think "little brother" comment was the reason but I'm sure Dantonio would love to think that
@@sikid4000 It certainly was the turnaround for our program when we hired him and if you don’t think that comment was used to light a fire under our asses every year playing you guys your delusional.
@@echo1180 "light a fire under our to beat rich rod and his 3-9 michigan" Then why tf did Dantonio start getting destroyed as soon as Michigan got a somewhat competent coach? First yr he barely escaped off a miracle with his best sparty team ever next year he got destroyed next year he squeaked out one final hurrah and then the last 2 years of his tenure got absolutely destroyed. Yeah I'm sure after 2018 when you were called little brother by the whole michigan team again really sparked a fire under your ass for 2019 when you got spanked 44-10.
I was hoping for a specific moment. Years ago a bad ISU team got 8 turnovers from Nebraska and won. I happened to be in Omaha that week and caught the coaches show. It looked like the coach was going to kill himself on camera. I guess the way his team played and losing to ISU was more than he could take.
0:38-1:12 But when Brian Kelly did the exact same thing as Saban in his first game as Notre Dame HC, the administration threatened to fire him if he did it again. Meanwhile, Saban wins National Titles at Bama, so nobody gave a shit. #DoubleStandard
CAUSE NOTRE DAME IS A CATHOLIC SCHOOL AND NOT TO BE RUDE BUT SINCE THERE CATHOLIC THERE ADMINISTRATION IS SOFT THERE SCHOOL IS SOFT THE PLAYERS ARE SOFT THERES NO EMOTION WHEN THEY LOSE THERES NO TRASH TALKING NO CELEBRATIONS JUST A SOFT PROGRAM OVERALL THATS WHY THEY DONT WIN BIG GAMES OR NATTYS ANYMORE
Every time I see the Butch Jones clip I cringe. He called out the media for reporting something that actually happened. 🙄 So glad Heupel is out coach now.
@@leegaesswitz181 I’m pretty sure what happened is that the guy that Urban was talking to was a reporter and he made a report about some horrible thing that a player did that he actually didn’t do. It’s happened multiple times before. Like Gundy’s “I’m a man, I’m 40” speech.
Man that reporter or media guy or whoever he was on 33:00 sure thinks he’s tough, I really wish that ucla coach would of put him in his place but he didn’t care for the guy enough. If he wanted to he would of. Just talking all sorts of shit with no questions or meaning behind anything. He be out of that press for good if I was associated with them
bullying has no place. you are embarrassing athletes who are make you famous or legit. the fact that the announcers find this acceptable is sickening. cant wait for that one KID to knock the coach out!!
Unpopular opinion, but if you’re being payed millions a year by an athletic department to coach some football, and you start throwing a temper tantrum over a dumb question then I don’t have much respect for that. You sit down and you do your job. It’s different if they’re printing lies about a player or something like that, obviously, but if you don’t like a question you can get over that if you’re being payed a cool mill or two a year to coach.
@Jimmy Plenderleith As an Ohio State fan, most were fine to see him go when he did, there were plenty of frustrations in games, not to mention the shady stuff. But damn, I'd be lying if seeing him at 11:40 at his vacation home didn't make me miss him. He completely owned Michigan, made Harbaugh look like a little league coach.
Well, at the end of the day, the media has a job to do. Obviously some members of the media screw up and write something that they didn’t follow up on before writing it, and they should be rightfully chastised. However, most of the incidents are coaches who are just mad because they either lost the game, their team didn’t play well, etc. and so they snap at the first person they can, which usually ends up being the media because they didn’t ask a question the correct way in the eyes of the pissed off coach, in which case the coach just needs to grow up and realize the people he’s talking to are not at fault for their team’s performance. To sum it all up, yes some members of the media suck for not doing their job properly. By the same token, some coaches suck for being insolent children and blaming others for their/their team’s performance.
