Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto inspire to take things to the next level. Any time I want to motivate myself to train I know I can watch Bruce or Dan and be ready to get into a session.
People say that he was on roids and other drugs;i say imagine if he had taken it,the mood swings and rage that comes with such anabolic substances would create a Bruce lee that was arrogant,full of rage,without care of another persons woes or pain.He wouldnt be the Bruce Lee that sits down reading countless books about philosophy,nutrition,martial arts or discussed the many forms of martial arts with Dan.His Life stories brings a tear to my eyes but his Legacy gives me courage.
One of the good things about Bruce Lee is that he could always find a way to break through all odds that were against him to achieve what he wanted. That motivation and energy he had. It´s a mystery where he got that from. Sure he could see a lot of things many others couldn´t. Maybe it was his constant training, experimenting, challenging himself, being creative and selfdevelopment that gave him all that. The rest of us just wish we could do some of what he was capable of.
Some of you may remember/know this, but in case anyone's interested: "The Big Boss" was originally released in the US with the title "Fists of Fury" due to a titling mix-up. "Fist of Fury" was originally released in the US as "The Chinese Connection", also due to the titling mix-up noted above. Very nice , a little different from some of the others. Hearing some of the things that Prof.- Bruce talked about makes sense, not because he said it ,but the fact that it refers to just being human. For many you may not be able to understand unless you know your true self. Peace.
Just about all modern Olympians are like that now... in 10-20 years I'd say it'll be common. The irony of it, he was revoloutionery in many things, working out too the death may be next. I also get the irony of my many comments on this video.
He took steorids when he became obessed with strength that weaked him in other ways and along with pain killers gave him problems like (I think) heart palpatations and he took marijuna too controll that and the pain (it works well on both) but became obessed and started eating the leaf and stem which was overdoing it even if not weakend by other stuff and alsp having no body fat and the strong dose it was a shock too the body which ended one night in 1973.
He didn't take steroids if he did he wouldn't be the type of man he was his death was something to do with the brain I think but certainly no steroids and that
This is absolute bullshit from start to finish He never used steroids His medication was for his spine injury He officially died from cerebral edema due to mixing regular painkillers (for a headache) With said medication for his spine. Autopsy showed,that he had in fact consumed hash but that hasn't any relevance in his cause of death. The 70's were times in Wich a lot of bs was spread to prevent drug use. Do you believe,that masturbating leads to loss of brain cells as well?
what kind of drugs did he use? I read that he was using pain killers because of his pain and i also heard that he was using steroid but i dont believe that was true
When people become so into their training the end up making very risky decisions. Bruce over trained and his boy was falling apart. He needed to take some steroids to build his body image and to speed up recovery. But the old injuries were still painful, and Bruce began to take cortisone. In fact he self medicated to the point of destroying his kidney. Between the hashes, steroids, diuretics and cortisone shots. How could anyone live that long.
no offense... and im not suggesting he took roids, but i don't agree.. PPl that take roids can be completely normal..... I'm a HUGE BL fan.... no insult intended
Steroids to reduce inflammation are not the same as steroids to promote muscle growth.Many people use steroids for pain relief and don't die, so steroids causing his death does not make sense to me.
What gets me (as some one who USED TO BE a huge Bruce Lee fan growoing up) is they talk about BL as if he had 8th degree black belts in 10 styles....LOL11 Liek he was a 10x world champion who was undefeated....etc. BL was really NOT "all that" as a "marial artist". I wouldnt even consider him a "martial artist" because he only "dabbled"...there are teens I'd consider "martial artists"....e.g. earned their belts, compete on some level, forms/pt sparring....go to the Olympic games even....they are "martial artists". BL was a "MA film star and a genus at self-promotion". Nothing more. Terrifble "actor"., overrated in fight choreography---though what he created did sell in the early 70's..and amazingly generated millions of fans ....to this day in 2023...almost 50 years after his death...THAT is what amazes me. To be relevant decades after his death (girls like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardasian have to make sex tapes...heh...)... Now if BL WAS a 10x world champion/10 black belts 8th Dan and had skills far beyond any other world champion...THEN we could talk about him like he was some "MA God.."...
