Hot take: "so let's love" (my fav of the album by far) is actually the saddest song on the album, more so than "above the clouds". because while "above the clouds" leaves you with feelings of peace and closure, "so let's love" is just saturated in this heartbreaking desperation and fear of abandonment.

"so let's love" hits exactly like "i need somebody" hits... my heart literally hurts the same way

Dowoon didn't sing in So let's love but he still made cry with his drumming, he is that powerful.

The drums are the backbone of So let's love. Dowoon did an amazing job, his drumming in the song give me chills. Dowoonie just keep getting better and better, it's crazy.

This album to me, the calmest album ever from DAY6. They really did a wonderful work with this album as the ending of The Book of Us. As a fans since the beginning, I literally having an emotion development as how DAY6 music develops, by years. Idk how to explain, but being at the same age with them maybe playing a huge factor of how I am digesting their music. It’s just perfectly perfect in every moment of my life. Young K, yes you really print ‘the band that sing every moment in life’ successfully. To think that this album might be the last album in our (me and DAY6) youth / 20s, and the fact that we might get the next OT5 album after all of them finishes their service at their 30s (me too) - it’s a bittersweet yet my heart trembling on how excited I am with the future. We might went like this : ahhhh our 20s / youth is like this - while walking into our memories. This is the perfect ending for The Book of Us!

Above the Cloud holds a special place in my heart, because the song was written about someone who has passed away, and become content with their memories, and hope that they are also happy. Musically, I enjoy Every we fight and Healer the most. They are just pure energy and instantly mood booster. So let's love is also great, it's like a heart throbbing kind of song.

Sungjin's parts in "so let's love" is so breathtaking, he pulls out emotions in me unprovoked 😭

i'll be honest it took me a couple listens to really get into this album as i tend to prefer darker sounds, but Oh My Jesus it just has a way of sinking into my bones and i feel so comforted by it and the melodies are so catchy. this is definitely gonna stick with me for a good long while

I really think having Umu on the fandom is such a huge help to everyone (and all other musicians turned Mydays *coughs* Henry *coughs*) We get to hear a professional's point of view educating us how something so beautiful was done and is considered a masterpiece. We get to hear the details more specifically. Thank you Umu and Henry 🥺❤ It hurts to hear that we won't be getting another day6 album in a while but yes, who knows right? it's our reality to wait as long as we can. But at the end, we are hoping to see them as 5 again ❤

I LOVE "SO LET'S LOVE" SONG THE MOSTTTTTTTTTT IN THIS ALBUM. IT JUST CAUGHT MY HEART. ESPECIALLY THE HARMONY PART WHEN UMU SAID THE SOULS FEELS LIKE BEING PULLED OUT FROM THE BODY

I really resonate with what Umu mentioned. Day6’s discography has been there for me through happy, sad, confused, lonely times. They’re truly a band that stays with you and heals you.

I definitely agree with umu about day6 being there for every feeling. It's so interesting cause demon came out right at a pretty crucial time and I could strongly relate to the feelings they put out. The emptiness, the kind of muted feelings. For this album I actually didn't listen to it when it first came out just cause I didn't have time and I also take breaks from certain groups just to keep variety going. Not that I didn't want to listen to the album but because I thought this wasn't something I was in a mood for, but once I listened to it, it shocked me just how much i needed something like this?? It resonated much more strongly than I expected and the whole feeling of the album just matched so perfectly. Going from entropy's (which is my fav in the series) kind of intense emotions and variety, to this kind of dip in mood, and for negentropy rising into a hopeful type of feeling, just makes this book of us journey really fulfilling and special. Day6 honestly really does have music for every emotion and feeling and mood .

Honestly I can't listen just one song from this album. Everytime I wanna listen to a song I feel the need to play the whole thing, it's addictive.

Fun Fact: 사랑하자 is also the title of Suho's solo debut and is his famous tagline so hearing it in a DAY6 song gives, for me at least, more sentimentality as an EXO-L. Edit: THAT POKEMON GO HATCHING ANIMATION

My ranking would be 1. ONE, 2 .So Let's Love and 3.Healer. But I love all of them equally so this might be more a ranking of "what I feel like listening to at this moment" rather than a "oh this is the best in the album" ranking.

I feel that about wanting to listen to the album versus individual songs. They all work together so well as one "piece" that I just loop the whole album. The sequence of the tracks on this album really hits the spot.

*So let's love is so powerful and raw that it gets you, not because of an overwhelming beat but because the emotion and how Day6 executed the song. I think it's meant to be like that to highlight the emotional power of the song. It's one of my fave in the album, along with Only and Everyday we fight.*

Every song in this album feels like driving with your s/o with the windows down in the sunset

We can relate to you guys so much. It’s a must to repeat not only a few tracks from the album but the WHOLE album because it’d feel like something would be missing if we don’t. It’s really the most cohesive album they’ve ever done. It’s so fitting to their theme of “chaos being swallowed up in love” because you can feel its oneness. DAY6 really has their own magic

Honestly my initial reaction to this album I wasn’t as hooked as the past albums (which were more energetic) but the more I listened to it the more them the more I realised how good each song was and how catchy each of the melodies are that all the songs become super memorable. To add to the catchiness, the vocals on this album are *chef kiss*, they really decided to just flex what makes them DAY6. Cohesively this album is such a masterpiece and all the tracks kinda sneak up on you in terms of how good they are and they portray that message of love heals and conquers all (even tho it gets a little sappy tbh haha). For my top three: 1. You Make Me 2. above the clouds 3. Only

I'm emotionally attached to "..so let's love" but my mind is stuck with the more upbeat "Healer". Honorable mention is the chord progression in "You make me" probably my 3rd. I love all the tracks from this wonderful album. Definitely a masterpiece!

The moment I heard So Let's Love I knew right there and then that it would make me cry like Afraid did. And now I already played it like a hundred times ❤️

Umu listening to so let’s love is soooo me

I too have a very similar playlist to what Umu described, mine's tittled "emotional support" lol. It's not only Day6 but it has many of their songs, especially the sadder ones, bc I always feel like Day6 understands my lows and accompanies me through them. The first song on the playlist is For Me just because of the line "you've done well so far on your own", followed by Hurt Road for the relatability lol; it progressively goes from sad and disappointed to hopeful and ends with more hype and motivating songs, the last song being Stray Kids' Victory Song. So yeah, I can totally relate to the feeling of Day6 music helping me.

So let’s love reaction is so relatable. I loved this album. I loved Sungjin’s voice in So Let’s Love. Above the Clouds is my favorite, but I really loved the whole album. I felt like the whole thing hit me emotionally more than the previous albums. Gravity was the last album they had that got to me emotionally. Gravity and Negentropy are my two favorite albums of TBOU. I think with Korean songs, I tend to connect with the music more than the message more. But with English songs, lyrics are more important to me. Day6 songs are some of the only songs I don’t get tired of.

I was waiting in anticipation for this reaction because One and So Let's Love are my favorite b-sides, and Umu and Henry, you two did not disappoint. Jae and Sungjin leave me feeling so exposed and raw in So Let's Love, and One's chorus is just too catchy. My top 3: 1. So Let's Love 2. You Make Me 3. One I agree Entropy and Gravity are still my favorites, but I do appreciate how cohesive this latest album is. Btw the editing for this vid was A+. Keep up the good work!

I don’t know how many people will understand what I’m about to reference but bear with me. So Let’s Love reminds me of a small collection of video games, namely That Dragon, Cancer; The Beginner’s Guide; Presentable Liberty; etc. The slide in the chorus with the harmonies really eats away at your heart and outright wrenches at your sense of painful nostalgia and missing the parts of yourself that you lost through the erosion of time. The slide itself almost feels like you’re watching your only remaining piece of happiness slip through your fingers despite clutching onto it for dear life. It’s not one of those songs that make you sad in the sense that you want to cry your eyes out and scream until you lose your voice, instead it invokes a kind of somber numbness and an utter helplessness, it might even be reminiscent of a feeling of self-lament. To me, this song portrays the struggles of a very dark depression perfectly. After the shear amount of emotions being experienced during the chorus and ending it ultimately ends with dissociation not knowing what to do anymore. This song is a masterpiece of evocative expression.

So Let's Love makes me cry every time

DAY6 came into my life last year in the middle of the pandemic when I was heavily struggling with my mental health and I don't know how but Zombie got right into my heart and head, I felt so accompanied and reassured at first listen... It didn't take me long to listen to their entire discography. They're the best thing that has ever happened in my life, cause if weren't for them I wouldn't still be here.

When I first listened to this album on it's inirial release, I needed to cool off from studying because I was exhausted, I remembered they had released the album already a few hours ago, it was 4am and I watched You Make Me Mv, and it was so good so I listened to the rest of the album It had started raining heavily and once "So Let's love" started playing, from the first note I could tell it was my favourite song because it reminded me of "I need Somebody". I've been trying to hold back my tears but after Jae's part of "내가 틀렸어", I cried so much, his emotions there were so raw. With Day6, they keep refining and outdoing themselves with every album and this album is such a masterpiece, it's just the perfect ending to conclude the book of us series. I love all songs and it's hard to pick a favourite but if I'm stuck on an island like Henry said, I'll listen to 1. So let's love 2. Healer 3. One

I teared up during my first listen to So Let's Love. I read the lyrics and I was a mess after I listened again. Dude, this song was everything I wanted to say to someone I lost. I didn't cry during the breakup but deep inside I really just wanna beg for them to stay. You know? So let's love is so raw and honest and desperate. Like, there's self-love and all and finding happiness on your own but we all feel like this and sometimes we just need to be honest about how we actually feel in the moment. Day6 songs also has that effect on me, it's their song that match my mood that actually comforts me. My top3 would probs be: 1. So Let's Love 2. You Make Me 3.
