I've just installed mine and I'm very impressed with the system. I've set up the detection zones the cameras and set it up to send me emails when it detects someone at the door. Also I've installed a mic to the front door camera so I have sound. So all good up to now.

Thanks to your video I have figured out why my system won't record can't believe they don't sell the box with a hard drive not installed and the instructions that came with box and cameras was so small couldn't read the majority of it

Hia,sorry to comment randomly.we have a floureon that won't connect to our Sony bravia via hdmi,It just says unsupported signal,check your device output.We have tried it on another TV,and it works fine on that.Ive ordered a vga to av cable to try.Thanks.

If you put a drive in larger than 2TB make sure to format FIRST as NTFS otherwise the Floureon storage software will show a drive error and you won't be able to do anything with it. My 16 Ch has 4TB drive and it records 24/7 on 10 channels for about 3 months before overwriting oldest recordings first.

To anyone watching - the resolution of the VGA/HDMI by Default is NOT SUITABLE for all TVs!! Use a computer monitor and change it to 1280x720 which then worked on my Sony TV (In HDMI)

can the camera in sub menu dissable voice or sound but only turned back on by admin by looking on playback its playing sound playback on reviw when they want it to ..but not to others .in otherwords thers an issue to privicy on pple been told camera dnt work on audio whats been spoken about in past ..

I have a red and yellow connector that fits to the camera end no problem but where does the red connector go at the back of the harddrive? Mine doesn't fit anywhere 😕

The red connector is for power. You should have got a DC mains PSU with your kit and they usually come with a 1 to 4 power splitter.

If that's giving you a tingle, it's a poor PSU design with poor separation or a leaky anti interference capacitor linking HT and low voltage stages. I've just ordered a current model Floureon so I'll test for secondary to phase leakage when it arrives.

Hi just bought a unit and done all sorts to get the cameras to configure without success took top off to find I only have a2 scatter cables and one ribbon cable in it looks like I’m minus a ribbon cable has any one had same problem .

Hi there I have a floureon CCTV the setup screen looks the same as this however my clock keeps drifting approx 30 mins a month, is there a way to sync this to the Network so won't drift please?

There should be an option in settings to use a NTP (Network Time Protocol) server - if you google "ntp server address" you can just pop the IP address in and it will sync the time. Hope this helps - let me know!

Hi again Kris, Just to let you know this worked I googled and found info on NTP setting. In the NTP address setting I entered "UK.pool.ntp.org" and in NTP port setting entered "123" And all worked so thanks again Kris, take care.

Hi mate I just bought this set up and I have blank screen on my TV. I have read that these are set from the factory with to low a res for my TV to pic up? I've read I need to connect with a VGA cable first to a monitor then change the res, then it will work on my TV via hdmi. Any advice appreciated

great video, had enough of my Tenvis and Foscam ip cams cutting out, also Virgin media have all of a sudden stopped me from using the port mapping to port forward my cams so can't view them outside my network without upgrading to a business account gggrrr. but this setup kills two birds with one stone.ps. spooky I've got same invisible car in my garage but have a pic of a Lancaster Bomber on the wall lol. Anyway only just found your vids, so now subscribed, recognise voice from other vids. Thanks again.

Great videos Kris.Took your advice and found a Sky HD box 2tb. DRX895WL. Removed hard drive and tried it on my computer via sata but it was not recognised. The drive is. WD 20EURX green power. Are they locked at all? Thanks.J.

Hi i currently have a flourean cctv system but im currently having problems due too it stopped recording a few weeks ago and it said error on the storage file. I got it sorted but now its doing the same thing agsin but it wont record at all. I press record but it just comes up with the what cameras i want to record screen. And it still doesn’t record

The harddrive might be corrupted or the harddrive might be completly dead. What brand is your harddrive and how old is it?

Hi Kris I have just upgraded to 8 channel Floureon installed by a professional with view to have remote monitoring. I have two sets of different make of cameras . The DVR works OK during the day light but the DVR produce very frequent bleeps as it get dark and some of the cameras either no longer broadcast or the picture is distorted badly . What could be wrong with it ? When i put my old DVR back all camera broadcast perfectly . the technician has been trying different things but nothing worked. can some one help please

Hi Kriss, I have an 8 channel floureon and I have only been able to add 6 of the 8 cameras. I have checked all of the local settings such as recording and playback reflects 8 channels in channel type. I have tried the two cameras in other slots and they do not work. But they work on an alternative system. The cameras are pal cameras supplied by floureon. Any thoughts to this problem?

+simon brown The DVR monitors the footage for movement. If your camera has just a power and BNC/RCA (phono) connector then it should work no problems. You may need a BNC to Phono adaptor To use it on the box but these are pennies from ebay/amazon.

I bought my floureon cctv system without realising I needed to buy a separate hard drive about 2 years ago now. I managed to get a 2tb Seagate one for 20 pounds brand new. If you only want to use your cameras purely to monitor and you don't intend on switching them off at the mains anytime soon so that it'll forget your time and current settings then the hard drive won't necessarily be needed but if you want it to record and be able to use the playback features and for the system to remember your settings if you want to switch it off at the mains then a hard drive will be essential :)

Good work .. I have a problem with getting any display out off the HDMI or VGA . On the HDMI to any TV I'm getting no display at all, on the VGA if I turn the monitor on I get the white screen with floureon then goes to blank screen with a warning scan out of range 60hz to 64hz. I can see the displays on my phone..

+kevin james The screen resolution is set too high for your display. You will need to reset your box. Search Google for your screen's maximum supported resolution and then set that in the box settings.

+kevin james Yes, if you hold down the Mode and PTZ buttons for 5 seconds it should reset it.

I have had a new roof and it's damaged one of the camera cables going under my tiles and down to one of the cameras .And i can not get another cable under my tiles as it's to tight .So my question is i have a camera up the garage at the furthest point with a thicker cable like a tv Arial cable can i use a spliter from the camera and back down to where i used to have the other camera

You can split the power just not the video signal. You could chop both ends off and use aerial coax to join it again, routing the cable a different way.

To add a mic you need to buy one and wire it using RCA cables for the audio. There's videos on RU-vid 9
