To remove the start you just have to turn The whole star assembly toward the left and it should come out. You don’t even have to remove the bumper to do that.
I have a c400 as well and replaced the grill. I was able to do it without removing the bumper though. it was a tight fit! I chose the diamond grill to look more OEM since the GT is only on the C63
Did mine today thanks for the video, my 2019 c300 was slightly different and the star was a bugger to get out took 2 of us about 4 hours could do it a lot quicker second time around, looks great on cheers
Great transformation looking goooood! I actually purchased a c250 and have always kept my eyes on that grill you have and wondered if it can be done and there you go, you proved it. But just one question, I’ve heard that some people have technical problems when changing the grill? Like maybe with the camera or sensors? If so, was there any problems with yours, and how did you avoid that?
had this done on my 2018 c43 but my mechanic installed it without removing the whole bumper. Kind of surprised how he managed to get all those tabs in without removing the bumper like everyone else did
Yeah looks good I want one for my c450. But I’ll I can afford right now is the black hood emblem(oem) China. But I’ll get one eventually with a lighted star..
Hey Mike, just ordered the same grille for my C300. When you popped in the new grille in place, did you put back the mesh cover behind the grille as it originally came? Unless I missed it in the video.
@@mikesandve2564 gotcha. I was curious because I didn’t see it in the video and I can see on my grille as well, there’s a mesh like piece that probably part of the assembly that would need to be popped back behind that new facelift to avoid pebbles and other debris flying through the grill.
i have the c400 in white as well (same exact car as yours) and im torn between the diamond grille and this one.. this has been the hardest decision ever. lol the diamond is more classy looking, but this one has a more aggressive, sporty look. i just don't know.
j s lol I think it depends on the wheels u have as well. I wanted the black and white theme, if you have silver wheels the diamond might look better, but it does look more stock and less sporty I my opinion. I went through the same struggle hahaha
@@mikesandve2564 yea i have the silver amg 5 spoke wheels, but am planning on getting them powder coated black. i usually dont have a tough time being decisive, even when it comes to deciding which exact car, color, specs, performance mods i want. but these 2 fkn grilles have got me beat. lol
im going with this one since we have the AMG style body kit, so we can actually pull it off. can always change it down the road since price point isn't really an issue on these things. plus the diamond grille is more common, and i'd assume this one turns major heads right?
It is a kind of funny. The first thing I did was also to change the stock grill for an aggressive GTR grill. I removed the trunk 4MATIC and replaced it with a Mercedes oem AMG badge. Furthermore, I added two side AMG badges to the left and right fender sides. With your driving skills this car is a champ.
He’s not posing tho lmfao the c400 is very similar to a 2017-2019 c43 amg or a 2016 c450amg. They only have 30hp more than a c400 but that can be fixed with a tune, nice exhaust setup and some intakes, and you don’t need to do all that to get the 30hp you get the tune you deff pass the c450 c43 some people also say a lot about the snap crackle and pop that the amgs do welp it’s all on a software so when you get the c400 tune For an extra like 60-100 bucks they can add in the snap crackle and pop when you put your brand new exhaust system on your good to go. Before you call someone a poser do some research on the car the c400 is a entry level amg for the c class and the c450-c43 are just rebadged c400s. Have a nice day 🙌🏽
Javier Ramos hahahha it’s 1000% posing. It’s false advertising as an AMG. Sure, you can Do all those modifications but it still doesn’t make it an AMG at the end of the day. Why not just be happy w/ what you’ve got instead of adding fake shit onto the car? You’re not fooling anyone by doing that.
How would that be possible? You realize that these grills are exact fitments for Benz vehicles, depending what model. These grills are on the newer models. So how would a Buick be able to have this grill is the fitments are made only for the Benz?
sorry to say but i favor the original look of the Benz. That grill looks really bulky and has no lines to give that classy look of an expensive vehicle.
