Hey Dave. Yes I like to put the bolts back where they're supposed to go until reassembly also it's definitely a good habit to get into. I remove seals the same way on small engines , works great. Customer should be very happy

Im happy for you buddy. You will end up selling 4 mowers over a weekend and get a few $ for shop necessaties AND you dont have to look for more video projects. It was a win win for me. I also signed off on 30 day warranty for commercial equipment and 90 day on home owners. Nobody does that! Fix or replace when you have an inventory of good mowers. Im happy for you Boss!

I’m curious how or what you used to pull the old transmission output seal out.

I took my truck to this mechanic shop they replaced this seal fir me but my truck was still leading oil from same place, too to another mechanic shop they opened it again and replaced it once more, plus the the other seal you’re showed. My truck is still leaking from the very same place. I’m really confused 🤷🏻‍♀️

A couple of things could be going on here. The new seal is not leaking. (Most likely). You have a leak up front and the wind blows it back and then it collects on the bell housing. That would give the appearance that the main seal is leaking. Or that either mechanic has damaged the area of where the seal seats into the block. (least likely. I would degrease and power wash the underside of the engine and run it in the driveway with cardboard under it and look for leaks. This is only to eliminate the possibilities of what it might be to narrow it down to what it is.. did either mechanic provide you with the old seal? Just curious 😊.

ulitepilot aka Zombie Dave First of all, thanks a lot for fast response 🙏🏻 I will do the test. First mechanic did not show me the old parts. I bought both seal and the aluminum part which it seats on it. He said he trashed the old parts. Second mechanic provided the parts himself and since he warranty his job for one year, I assumed he’s going to do the right job. When I took back my Tundra today, he said, I need to wait a couple of days and see what’s going on which doesn’t make sense to me. Before he disassemble the transmission, he checked all other places and said the leak is from main seal.

@@1350nadia ok, if you have the warranty and he will honor it then I guess you are at his mercy. Let me know how this works out for you if you could please.

ulitepilot aka Zombie Dave Truck has no leak while parked. I drove the truck for about 60 miles yesterday. When I came back home, there was lots of transmission oil drops on ground. By the way the second mechanic also changed the transmission oil and filter. I took the truck back to mechanic. He said it’s not the seal and I have to drain extra oil in transmission.
