@@A.S.S.M.A.N Doesnt David Grohl and Francis Bean own most of Kirk's estate? I'm pretty sure that is the case. It's why I think Francis Bean really doesn't have to work a day in her life.
@@darkslayer2569for top artists thats a fair range, from what i’ve seen more expensive tickets can come with extras like seat placement, vip/meets, merch, hotel, food stuff. lol tbh 3k for a ticket better come with a lot of shit no matter who you’re seeing 😂
20 dollars in early 90s is like 45 dollars today or something like that. So charging 300 dollars today is like 3 times what Modonna charged then. Doesn’t Dave Grohl charge that much lmao?
@@brianswatheythats only half the truth. The price is determined by the fact that the artists manager determine the worth and lets not forget the price goes up due to the secondary market such as Ticketmaster buying tickets in bulk and charging insane prices and attached fees
@OmarrrrrFGomez He was too real for the world, that's why he used to begin with. Escape is necessary for those who are sane but living in an insane world
I still watch rock bands and metal shows regularly for 15 to $20 and 2023. You people are supporting the wrong artists if you think it's reasonable to charge $80 for a ticket let alone 800 like Taylor Swift
@@StealthGT40 I don’t think he would’ve. Kurt was as genuine and steadfast to his principles a person as they came. He was quitting Nirvana and that’s part of why they gave the green light to have him murdered IMO.
Ive paid $12.50 to see Metallica in 81' i was 15!! Great times! But nowadays, free music, all access to bands/artists and less cd sells... prices go up,
@shacktime yea, people really thought they would get away with free music. The worst part is that it still happens today while those same people criticize artists for lack of record sales and overpriced concert tickets.
Absolutely! His talent to me is up there with Jimmy, Janis, Freddie, etc., etc.,etc.! I sooo miss this awesome musician ! I sincerely hope & pray you are complete now.🙏🙏🙏😭🙄🙂
If Kurt hadn't met Courtney-with-a-face-like-a-boxer, he'd still be alive. I'm talking about her pre-plastic surgery face. She was jealous of his looks, his talent, his money and his fame.
Will it.? I am sure he cares alot about that assumption. I love Nirvana but these pointless dead messages like yours bother me more than the fact Madonna tickets can't be touched for less than $500 for nose bleed seats. Most seats are $750 and up to $6,000 a ticket to see her old crusty ass now. But seriously enough with the self gratifying platitudes.
Yes, he had a drug problem, but he was still a God-fearing man. Being addicted to drugs doesn't mean u sold ur soul. Many good souls fall victim to addiction. Drugs weren't even what ended his life. U and I both know he was a good human who didn't hurt anyone. Go watch some of his interviews. It might humanize him for u
@@bewiseopeneyes8720 he was not a God-fearing man he believes religion to be controlling and overbearance. Don’t put your stupid fucking religion on this deadman.
@@StudMacher96 I was just pointing out that Krist said the name of a song(Milk it) when he was talking about raising the ticket prices...I thought it was funny. Sorry if you don't get it. Speaking of milking cows, in the words of Dave on the other hand...🎵 I'm called a cow, I'm not about to blow it now, for all the cows...Money allows...all to browse, and be endowed 🎵 In other words....we all suck the milk from rock star 3==D💦 🍼 we Milk it because we want it.
@@BombsAway-ko8dzwell it's also the people who still feed into these crazy ticket prices. There are those that will see a Taylor Swift ticket going for two thousand and still bust out the credit card
@@derekrushe Some of the biggest hypocrite bullshit artists ever. What did they ever do but preach communism and then dive headfirst into money line Scrooge McDuck?
I would literally pay 1000× the amount they took back then to see them one last time. Money doesn't really matter when it comes to making those kind of memories. And yes I am one of the lucky few who got to see them live back in the days. Rip Kurt. The world isn't a better place without you 💙
That's the problem - a lot of people are totally willing to drop 1000 bucks on tickets and because of that many artists have found they can actually get away with that. They're exploiting people like you, and I'm not saying you are the problem, but the fact that they can get away with it is insane. They know they have fans that love them and they're still willing to charge that???
@@peacefulcatt he could have been before he became such addict. At that point, noone is a good person. Those people cannot controll their temper and act wrong all the time. As for he struggled, he chose to do that. He chose to take drugs, and than keep taking them untill there was no going back.
But you have to remember, this was in the 90s, when minimum wage was 6 dollars or 5 dollars an hour. Inflation in the 90s was real different back then, compared to right now in the present.
@misaelherrera2845 yeah exactly 20 years ago I was making 5.50 an hour. Crazy to think I got paid do little, and thought it was good money at the time lol
I don't like her, but she had ten times their fan base ... smaller bands than them only charged $5 or $10 dollars a show - because no one would turn up if they charged more
@@JB-uq9fn Nah I feel that aspect. I just couldn’t imagine my sister and mom running that. To each their own, hope they have a good time. Apologies for coming off facetious my man
Unless of course they did venues where they rented the place and sold the tickets themselves.. I could see Kurt doin that.. Not Dave tho.. He seems to thrive after the deaths of his band mates
@@user-realahhnikka where’d I say that?? And what I said is pretty factual.. His very overrated band blew up, and now it’s blowing up again for some reason..🤔
@@spider-manunknown9193bruh he was the saltiest man on earth and hated everything and everybody lmao before and during heroin. I found him funny but cant deny the fact that he was acting like he was better than people when it came to music specifically. I want to say he was still a kid but he was like that in his 20s so not really lol. But as a person, personally to his friends he sounded like a good guy but not as a public figure. I just read Mark Lanegan memoir that talks a lot about Layne Stanley and Kurt, and Courtney - but if you dont know his story with Courtney and are a fsn of grunge i wont spoil it as it was quite surprising lmao
I saw Nirvana on December 8th, 1993 for I believe $17.50, and I’ve complained about the cost of every concert since then, stating “More for way, way less…” ugh haha.
Shortly after that date is when The Eagles reunited and IIRC, they were the first band to charge $100+ per ticket. Prices were never the same for arena or stadium shows again.
His sincere reaction is a incredible tell that he was 100% authentic and it wasn’t the only reason but it was a huge reason why us kids at that time were attracted to him and their music. Even if we couldn’t articulate it.
Sure he was he was that’s why he blew his brains out so he could show the impoverished youth what to do when your feeling week. I feel bad for him but come on man.
??? Uh…we’re you there? I saw Nirvana for $14. The Breeders opened for them. Saw Alice In Chains open for Metallica…$17 It was the difference between a rock show and a boogie concert with stage acts
Kurt's reaction was spontaneous and he was honest in his music.. it was just an art.. he wasn't looking for fame and fortune ..thats stuff etc.. probably make him sick ..
Because Kurt Cobain knows the value of a dollar, dude grew up in Abeerdeen Washington lol He probably was happy making 5 dollars an hour at the local burger place
Kurt was the man, see the honest reaction ge made he was disgustied by that he ain't believe in ripping off people he wanted 2 know who changed that much too lol
Kurt was such a real, genuine dude. That's one reason why he's one of my favorite artists ever. He would be sooo disgusted to see the industry as it stands today
i paid 27$ to see Nirvana at the Albuquerque NM convention center in fall 1993! Great show about best one ive ever been to even though Kurt was obviously not well at the moment.
