The evidence for the existence of The Creator is more than the stars in the universe and grains of sand on the earth. Just because you reject the evidence. Doesn't mean there isn't any.

A respectable debate Ma Sha Allah , I was impressed by the behavior of the both . Anyway we can't deny the existence of God the Almighty ,one must admit that Brother Edward had weak points in this debate .
Atheism is like if a man literally walked on water,he would say "Look,he can't swim"...total denial in the existence of Allah wen it's so plain n clear that there is a Creator
ibn Taymiyya was against the cosmological argument for the same reason. Iirc he used a very similar contingency argument without ofcourse the scientific references as it wasnt known. Which is why he was ok with infinite past as that didnt undermine his argument for Deity
who told him that pain should serve either our survival or our reproduction from a theism perspective??? pain also serves as a cleanser of sins, raise our grades in heaven .
Throughout the whole debate he kept mentioning the bible and the Qur'an, never once he mentioned the Jewish scripture! Are the Jews not also of the Abrahamic faith and were they not given scripture? Or maybe there would arise a funding problem in other issues?
