Thank you so much for doing this service to our community. I was a 5 year old at the time and still distinctly remember how 5 families loaded whatever they could in that truck and we escaped in the darkest hour of that night! I remember our truck passing a man who was sittig by the side of pulwama road shooting in joy “ batt ha chel” meaning Pandits are fleeing away. I remember the never ending lights of jawahar tunnel until my eyes shut. The next morning when I woke up , we had crossed that tunnel and stopped by at a small roadside hotel somewhere on way to jammu. Most women and children in that truck ,including me, had been vomiting all night since we had travel sickness due to uneven terrain and claustrophobic condition in the back of that truck. I remember my dad giving me kala zeera and salt as a remedy for travel sickness. When we had left our home in village hawal , pulwama that night , I was elated. Thinking we are going to a new place , travelling. Most kids of my age don’t understand the gravity of situation around them. But it hit me hard, when we reached Jammu. We did not go to a tent as my Aunty and maternal grandparents had rented a 3 room house in Bakshi nagar since they were one of the first families to flee. We stored our luggage ( including a lot of things from My dad’s departmental and electronics repair store ) at another relative’s house in Jammu. Everyday I would see dead sparrows , fallen off due to heat strokes. Even at that tender age, I was relating myself to them as that heat was killing is all. We came from a valley and here we were , in the blistering hot summers of Jammu. I used to hear often about someone who died of snakbite in tent, someone ho died of heatstroke. Closer home, I saw my parents struggling. My mum’s mental health deteriorated. We had lost my 4 ye old elder brother in 1989 to jaundice and 6 months later, my grandfather too had passed away. My dad had spent all his life savings on building his two storey house in hawal . We had merely spent 4 months in it before being forced to leave everything behind. I cannot even think of the extent of misery , misfortune and mental stress that my father would have been through to have witnessed Al these events and then suffer another blow, when my mother’s schizoaffective disorder blew up in Jammu. I witnessed it all. A disjointed family, a broken couple, a lost childhood! All of it ! Yet , I feel lucky that God really blessed us throughout these times when everyone else turned their backs on us. Yes, this is just one real story. There are tens of thousands of children like me whose childhood was rotten away. Today, we feel the pain of those fleeing Ukraine, those suffering there but do you know how their situation is different than ours ? Theirs has been brought down by an enemy country yet they stand together as one nation. Ours, was brought, down by our own nation who refused to even acknowledge what was going on and what followed after that. Salute to people like you Mr Razdan for keeping this flame alive that burns writhing every Kashmiri Pandit’s heart but does get dim at times.

Mr. Razdan, I can feel your pain, my family is also a victim of a similar situation, as we had to leave our home in Sylhet(in Bangladesh, then it was in India) during the partition. I heard how my family survived here by selling Gold ornaments of my grandmother. But your situation was much more difficult, painful, and terrifying. During this Kashmir incident, I was in college, I knew everything but then there were no social media that I could do anything like raise my voice, etc. I always raise my voice if I see any injustice to the Hindus and humanity. I wish this govt will provide you the justice.

I have a friend who is a Kashmiri Pandit. Her uncle was killed, his eyes were gouged out, and body was thrown in gutter with a signboard that read "whoever touches his body will be next". Her mother still has nightmares of these incidents, even after decades...such is the trauma these people are STILL going through. I sincerely pray to god to end their misery. O man. There are tears in my eyes. My dad used to say that he wanted 370 removed and hindus re-established in Kashmir. He used to say - Kashmir is our mugat (crown of India), how can we as Indians let it go. I saw The Kashmir Files movie and then these youtube videos. I finally understand why he used to say so. We must unite or we will be slaughtered in our own country. We must remove Congress completely. Need Modiji/Yogiji and more like them for couple of more terms so he can bring change in India. They must get justice for Kashmiri Pundits. If people of Kashmir cannot show that the house belonged to them before 1985, it must be returned to the people who were driven out.

You're absolutely right sir. We punjabis have suffered the same fate in 1947 when more than 3 million Hindu punjabis sindhis & Bengalis were slaughtered. No one came to our rescue or help. We were also put up in meager refugee camps totally unattended & ignored without any local support whatsoever. My father's generation has suffered that fate. Per ab ladne ka waqt aagaya hai. Hindu ikatrit ho raha hai. Main janta hoon narazgiyan itni jaldi khatm nahi hoti magar ab pehle toh hijab ko school uniform ka hissa nahi banne dena hai. Aur Bharat ko Hindu rashtra banaa ke hi dum lena hai.

I am a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Many times I tried to debate on the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits. But, all the time, everyone said that this was in the past and it doesn't matter now. They don't want to consider this as a topic of debate today. I don't know why we were/are so ignorant about this. But I tried and still trying... I hope one day will come when we will get full support for KP.

I'm from Telangana. I lost my grandfather last year. He use to remind me of atrocities of Razakars of Nizam of Hyderabad (of course Muslims) who killed 23 villagers from same village (My ancestral village) for protesting against nizam and supporting leftist militia fighting Razakars. He lost chinnana (Fathers brother) in this incident. Hindus suffered all along history by Nehruvian socialists who brainwashed us with secularism and washed of all there crimes.

Every time I see the trailer, I cannot even imagine the pain that all of you have gone through. We all are guilty of turning a blind eye to this most horrible of genocide in the history of our country. The least we can do now is to get ourselves educated and educate our friends on this horror. I have heard some kashmiri on tv, some stories from my uncle and was aware of their plight but your gave good clarity. Today total population in Kashmir is Muslim and India is a democratic country.
