What was your favorite part about baseball in the 90s and 2000s?

Met John Marzano back when the Mariners had a traveling group that went around the state. It was before the Paul Oniell fight. We had a nice little rivalry going with the Yankees at the time

Well…. Every rule change has been absolute garbage the past 15 years. 1-Hard Slides into second 2-Collisions into home 3-Larger bases 4-extended helmets 5-pitch clock 6-Analytics (not a rule but still) 7-extra runner in extra innings 8-on screen strike zone 9-MLB going with NIKE And I get it some of these were not rule changes. This was the best era in baseball. MLB had better marketing, better more likeable players. Media plays a big part. Although I do like Eastbound and Down 😆

If the strike didn’t happen in 1994. It would have been the Expos and Yankees who would likely to participate in the World Series. Also 1994 would have been Don Mattingly’s best shot to play in the fall classic. Also had Montreal made it to the World Series. Baseball would still be in Montreal and who knows baseball would have never returned to the nation’s capital.

Great series of videos! It’s sad to see how quickly baseball has fallen off. Maybe we can get back to it someday but as long as we have starters maxing out at 6 innings, automatic extra innings runners and the DH in the NL it’s gonna be rough. Take us back…please!

If you don't mention Kerry Wood's 20 K game in 1998 or the magical/tragic 2003 Cubs season, I will assume you are a Cardinals fan lol. For real though...those two topics are absolutely needed to tell the complete story of the era you are talking about.

August 5, 2001 Indians coming back from 12 runs down in the 7th inning against a team that went on to win 116 games.

Loving these two videos you've put out so far. It definitely was the greatest decade in baseball. I couldn't ask for a better time to grow up and play in little league through high school during this time. Baseball was definitely different back then. Whenever there are videos that show this time period with all the sights and sound it truly captures the feeling of the era. As a Diamondbacks fan, my personal favorite moment was the 2001 World Series - one of the greatest World Series of all time - and still my greatest baseball moment to this day. I think it would be cool to include more focus on pitchers in another video about this decade. Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Greg Maddux etc all did some amazing things.
