It could be a bad coolant temp sensor to, try putting some cardboard in front of the radiator, see if temp comes up.

Need to carry 1/2in impact and a small Sawzall for that tire.😊

with past experience I recommend getting a original equipment thermostat in your case Ford/ motorcraft , find they are better quality

You dont need a mechanic just a socket set. Where the radiator hose connects to the engine (Usually a plastic part) if you unbolt that part the thermostat sits under it. Just make sure your gasket is ok before you bolt it back on. RU-vid will have a video showing exactly where it is and how to do it for your truck. Should not take more than 10 min.

Wild adventures maybe a diamond blade grinder on a battery power. 😂. You half to laugh to keep from crying I have been in that position before and your right more tools
