ABOUT BECKET:
Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.

Is it right to attack the pastors? This video seems to suggest you three expect pastors to choose your hill to die on. Otherwise they are labelled false by you three. Suppose it is not that simple? Consider my small rural church and the pastor. We have a very fine pastor. If our pastor started to attack the queer community, then the greater church would remove him. So is he wrong to ignore the imaginary topic? The queer agenda does not matter to anyone in my church. So why should our pastor be expected to die for your cause, just to appease you? Knowing he would be removed and leaving his flock without a pastor. Even risking some new trendy rainbow pastor to be sent as replacement? Jesus did not give himself to death the first chance he got. He patiently waited for the right time, the right fight. The right hill to die on. You three are treading on some tricky soil and look I got attacked for commenting on an earlier video in this series. Despite my comment being true and accurate. So you are encouraging an army of haters who have a superiority complex and think they are higher than me. I am a worm.

Congratulations for your struggle against the woke ideology. But, I 'd like to speak on theology. Reformed theology is also a false prophet. The sacraments are indeed Jesus. Extra nos salvation. This is crucial and important. I propose you search in depth the lutheran theology, LCMS and other confessional lutheran synods. Stay away from ELCA.

@@br.mHi. I think it is not their cause, or pastors should be appeasing them. They are speaking truth from the Bible. Now maybe you think they're not, but that's what they're trying to do. Otherwise what use are Christian leaders if they don't lead away from error and towards the truth? As for your pastor attacking the queer community, well did not St Paul also attack error ? But in the end it's up to your pastor to exercise wisdom and 'choose his battles'. But it's the role of a shepherd to lay down his life for his sheep, if needed.

Chris: just a point. You mention "corrupting the bible" and not "doing the Word" While agree false teachers have always been. Jesus called out Nicholaitans in Rev 2 But The Word of God is the bible and its incorruptible However man can teach heresy by putting a false interpretation on what God is intending There are different human translations that change words and phrases But does that change the Word? My daughter is stuck in this deception of LGBT and Trans stuff. It breaks my heart. I am praying for her and asking everyone I know to join me. Sometimes I feel so hopeless because I don't see any change. I mostly pray that God will keep drawing her and keep her heart soft and that He will bring someone into her life that she will come to trust and who can reach her in a way her old mom can't.

"If there's no discipline occurring in your church, you're not a church." Tough words from Christopher Yuan!! I tend to think of church discipline as a sort of last resort, reserved for extreme cases -- and something most pastors simply don't have the cojones to actually do. But this is an interesting thought. If your congregation is small enough and active enough that the pastor and elders have actual relationships with everyone there, sooner or later there will be issues requiring some form of church discipline, even if it's confrontation and exhortation resulting in repentance rather than kicking someone out or whatever. Iron sharpening iron. Sanctification. 🤔

When I see how the early church and its martyrs walked not in the “safe space” of the world, but walked in the security of Christ and his eternal promises. I am a fairly empathetic person, so I've been told, and I've struggled with whether or not to use other pronouns as a means of "showing love" and "being a good Christian." Dear Rosario, Christopher and host Becket, Thank you very much for this talk! I will admit that while listening to you three godly people, my eyes teared and my heart soften in joy. As I continued listening I was so afraid that I might hear something that I might disagree with, but no - I wholeheartedly agree with all you have said. Now, I am not a Christian, but one who has journeyed 32 years on Jesus’s Way. Jn 14:6 I know a little about your backgrounds but I thank you for being who you are today. It's clear to me that you know who Jesus is, even as I know him. I have been totally disillusioned by the waywardness of churches run by false teachers and pastors. Innocent souls are being misled into condemnation by these ungodly people. I grieve for them, as much as I believe you do. But the Father and Jesus grieve even more. May the LORD God bless the three of you.

Your discussion on loving your neighbor as yourself and its connection to rebuking one's neighbor will form the basis of my sermon this Sunday. I just want to remind you that Satan is going to go into overdrive to destroy your ministries. Please stay prayed up and be watchful for the roaring lion. The people that could tempt you to return to homosexual behavior exist. If you haven't met them yet you will when you are feeling tired, lonely, and church hurt. That mistake you made on your taxes will suddenly be discovered and broadcast. You will touch or hug someone and that person will view it as sexual harassment and of course, that person will be decades younger than you. That punch will be spiked with vodka and you won't find out before you drive home. Please show grace and be compassionate to all because you may need compassion and mercy in the near future. This series of 3 has for me been a perfect illustration of "iron sharpens iron". Intellectually I knew what it meant but now i've lived it. I didn't realize I had let a little bit of new age nonsense creep in to my own life. The three of you pointed it out and always brought it back to scripture to show why it is wrong. Becket thank you for putting all of this on film and just sharing God's truth. As a believer I feel like God has been getting me to (1.) look at myself and repent of sins and luke warmness and (2.) start really getting in His Word so I can discern false teaching! Even if a teaching is MOSTLY right but SOME is unBiblical, then it is FALSE! Fellow believers we have to be in His Word. The enemy does NOT want us in His Word but we have to be in His Word, it's like drinking water every day and eating and breathing.

I listened twice and wrote notes. Such good things to recognize the subtle but blatant differences. So many do not want to see these and are drawn in with what they like. Every time i am in distress, i need to figure out between my and God where my sin is in that emotion - confess and turn from it and rest in Him.

I think what helped me with this issue was, in a previous conversation with Rosario and Chris, she stated there’s a difference between repenting of sin you are currently dealing with, and identifying with said sin. Praying for a softening of your neighbor’s heart. Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and out a new spirit within you: and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Prayers going up that the Holy Spirit guides your responses to your neighbor. So biblical and constructive. I had started 'Precious Remedies against Satan's Devices' and then set it aside for other Christian authors, your discussion encourages me back to Thomas Brooks and Thomas Watson. Modernity and what the so-called modern-mind will accept has wrong-footed many leaders and pastors. Many have been seduced. Sin, Hell and Judgement shied away from and various other doctrines such as the Holiness of God barely taught. I believe acceptance of contemporary Bible paraphrases for ease of reading, suppositions about greater relatability, accessibility etc has done a disservice to the Lord Jesus whose Word is living and powerful. Winsomeness, as you mentioned, can be misunderstood and misapplied. The point about pastors being willing to stand on church discipline is so important. We are commanded to pray for our pastors, elders and deacons, all those in authority. There was clear biblical guidance provided in your program- thank you Becket, Rosaria and Christopher. I just came across your conversion testimony, and as someone who used to live in WeHo, I am profoundly speechless at your story...how did you contonue to live within the Hollywood community with your new found faith?...(knowing how strong their feelings are about Christianity and the sin of homosexuality)...how have you been able to continue interacting with the culture so averse to Jesus?...how did you find you impacted those who knew you from your "previous lifestyle "??...I am so agast!!...I genuinely want to know how you interacted with the Hollywood mentality with your new found faith and how you were received....I am Catholic, as well, and would learn A LOT about how to carry relationships with people who don't share the faith, and how I may be able to speak the truth to them, when asked/etc, without fearing for my life...! ( sarcastic undertones...but, seriously...how...)
