That Chodge Darger as I used to call a friends years ago....he had a R/T 69 newer 440 engine out of a New Yorker.....that thing would eat Vettes at US 30 Dragstrip in Gary Indiana.He would even have the air cond. running while racing.....lol...back in the 70s....well as I was saying.....cant wait to see you fire it up......finally

Your work is amazing Chris. It’s like we’re there with you each step of the build. How much is a safe, solid ratty charger worth once you’ve done your magic on the body and underneath etc? A good driving example? I’m in Britain so I’m not well up on charger prices. 👍🇬🇧

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, lost mine in 2015. As for your cooling issues, have you thought about using a electric cooling fans on any of your builds?

Man i am so glad i found your channel. I started doing exactly what you are doing at 14 yrs old. Saved a 6 bbl Runner and a 70 RT/SE 440 CHARGER! KEEP THEM COMING MAN. Im 52 but ill be doing it until i absolutely cant. These mopars NEED TO BE SAVED AND SEEN.

Sorry about your grandmother, brother. Another trick to fitting your carb/TBI with a normal air cleaner and taller intake it to make (4) 1/2" - 1" spacers to go between the frame rails and K-member. I know it sounds like it could cause issues, but I know a few people who are using their 68' and 70' Chargers that way today and have been for years. I may end up doing that on my 65' Coronet so I can move the engine back closer to the firewall without having to beat the tunnel in... I am looking for an E-body K to try it right now. From what I here, the E-body K moves the engine back close to 4 inches.
Looks great with the engine installed. When you sprayed the Lizard Skin, did you use a primer gun with larger tips? I don't want to pay $100 for their spray gun that I will only use once.

No, I mean the "A" shaped wheeled cart that the K-member was sitting on. You know WAY more than I do about Mopars and how to build them, it just seemed like it would be easier for a couple guys to lift the K-member up to the engine mounts then set that assembly onto the rolling cart for installation in the car. I'm probably completely wrong but I am curious about that part of the procedure.

My condolences....You mentioned filling the torque converter... I guess it would help being that there are other issues to deal with on the first start but it is absolutely not necessary. We used to put 4 quarts in, start it up and add the rest while the car is running. Fill it until it is just below in between the marks, then check it after it is test driven when hot. Heck, if you are going to use a deep sump pan, use 5 or 6 quarts before starting the engine. I can't remember but I think the 727's were 9 quarts total after rebuild (?). Deep pan much more. Have a buddy fill it while you keep the engine running.
Why not shim the crossmember by a little. Use a little longer bolt. It will lower the motor, but raise the front height a little, an easy fix with torsion bar. Now you keep your OE air cleaner and it's invisible.
Hey man just started watching your videos. I am in Las Vegas too. I have a 4 core original radiator in my charger that I had rebuilt last year. I am about to put 2 12 inch electric fans in while installing a new perfect fit AC kit. You think it will overheat? Looking for your thoughts. The charger is looking good.

Hay fella sorry for your loss. You may have to change your manifold now that you have injection. Saw an interesting carb injection shootout on engine masters where they struggled to get the engine to run right with a dual plain manifold and had to switch to a single plain manifold. Something do do with pulsing with in manifold was causing signal issues at throttle body. Maybe something to look into? Or check with fast. Good luck with bumpy road ahead. Engine looking awesome.👍
