Thank you Corrine for your video, it was so nice to see the project from start to finish over one video. I love all the different ways these ,however you pronounce them come together. Could you stick your pins in the shell roll, or do they drop out when you actually roll it. I think it is so lovely to have your grandmas little spool, you will remember her with much love every time you use it. Really lovely project.
I love using walnut shells in pin cushions. I buy it in 25 lb boxes from a hardware shop. It is used for sand blasting. Much cheaper that way. I put a couple of cups in an air tight plastic container (like cottage cheese container) with some linen scented essential oil. After a couple of weeks the shells smell wonderful! The oil doesn’t seem to seep onto my fabric at all. I do put the shells in a muslin liner inside of the pin cushion. Pink is my color, so I live your needle roll! Awesome!
I became a firefighter and EMT When I was 61. I'm now 78 and spent time making mostly baby quilts for Pregnancy Life Line and embroidering with regular threads or silk ribbon. Thank you for your fun video.
Love it Corrine 💗👌 Enjoyed watching progress & your fun & relaxed tutorial. You certainly have a skill for teaching along with fabulous history on the project of the Hussif. Thanks for sharing your wonderful process of the project via videos. Fantastic ❤👌🥰
Wow girl! This is gorgeous! Love ALL your projects so very much. And thank you, thank you for putting this video out before you get back from Suzannah's! I thought "oh geez, we're going to have to wait until Corrine gets home to see what she does on her "hussy"!!! 😜🌹🌺🌷🌼
I am enjoying watching how you go about selecting and choosing fabric etc. tip re crushed walnut shells - I used them for weights in cloth dolls and always put them in the toe of pantyhose. I would cut off a piece mid foot, add the crushed shells and tie a good tight knot in the little ‘bag’. I have done this with pincushions too and have never had any leakage.
This is sooooo beautiful Corrine, thank you so much for sharing your process. One question, could you tell me where I can purchase the silicone thimble please? Now I’m off to watch another one of your videos. Hope the move goes well 🤗
@@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine thanks Corrine I would never have thought to look there. I’m an hour south west of Brisbane at Beaudesert. Thanks again for sharing your work and process 🤗
