Part A8 of updated Beautiful Day guitar tutorial / lesson. This tutorial covers the effect settings on the Line 6 M13 (chorus and pitch shift). See www.u2guitartutorials.com for more information.
The Liverpool is the one you want to simulate an AC-30. It's excellent. Much better than the Amplug but also more expensive (but great value for about $150 or $200).
Hi there! First of all, amazing work! It would be interesting to know how do you have the M13 connected to your amp/cab, if you set your loop fx before/after/in between the delays/other effects...i just can´t seem to get such a sound with that definition...it's driving me crazy! P.S. The M13 has a "fine tune" option that allows you to choose the MS you want for your DL's. Just step on the tap button and keep your foot there while you roll the knob ;) Keep up the good work! Cheers!
You can fine tune the delay settings where the setting values are actually shown. I think you hold down the tap button and turn the knobs - the details are in the .pdf of the Advanced User's Guide for the M13 on the Line 6 web site.
@U2TOTAL: Liverpool is an amp modeler. You don't use it with an amplifier. But you could take the output and put it into a power amplifier only (with flat freq response). Don't put it into a Vox (which it's modeling already) or a Fender or other amp because then you are putting an amp model into an amp and you will get muck. I use the Liverpool direct into a recording interface (Duet). I dont use any amp.
M 13: I want To know if it's possible To change inside a scene from a To b To c using 4 effects At The same time. Forse example i set 4 effects in a for verse And 4 in b for chorus. Is It possible To change from a To b without change scene? Also usibg an external source?

@winterley46: Ah, I see you posted your question here also. I don't have the M13 anymore. Same preset I use at the beginning of the song for the verse. It's just a single 1/4 note delay at the right BPM. I think I explain it in the tutorials. Watch the other videos. You can build the preset in the M13 in a similar way. It's just a modulated digital delay.
@EdgeGonnellina: Yes, very good for only US$40. But the Tech21 Liverpool pedal is even better! Only US$150. I would get the Liverpool for amp modeling.
It's an amp modeler. No need for a real amp. It's very good for $40. The Tech 21 Liverpool is even better. And then the amp model in the Axe-Fx II is even better yet.
can you help solve my problem? i have connected an ex1 expr pedal and i selected a chorus or flanger and wah . only the wah is mend to be affected by the pedal but the parameters of the modulation effects move also how can i shut the pedal off for the mod boxes and keep it working for the wah ? i have put all the fx's in the set up mode on ped 1 thanx for answering me and solving my problem.
@giovannibrunoro: I don't know for sure if he does or not. I heard this theory and tried it. He may or may not use it or in combo with something like delay. Seems to work.
hello, why have you set the order : Amp- drive - mod - delay - reverb - guitar ? should'nt it be like Amp - reverb - delay - mod - drive - Guitar ? Sorry for my english xD
Neither. I recommend Fractal Audio's Axe-Fx II. Best digital processor on the planet. M13 is a good unit, especially for the price. The Axe is expensive, but has INCREDIBLE amp modeling. The M13 has no amp models. Also, part of the sound here is the $40 Vox Amplug (amp modeler). So you are complimenting the Amplug also.
I'm getting the Vox amPlug AC30 based on your vid here - looks cool. I'm getting an M13 also - though I need modeling to drive it live - can't afford Axe-Fx. Is the Liverpool your fav? Trying to decide between it and British. Anything else that is good you'd recommend?
thanks a lot.....I,We really appreciate your tutorials, and the fact that you spend so much time! thanks to you and mick(3b1g), and all those who "seek to unlock" the secrets of the edge! ciao cheers greetings from italy ps j apologize 4 my english!!
To be able to set an exact delay time you must hold down the tap tempo button and turn the delay time knob to your desired delay time. If you want a 437ms Delay time turn the delay time knob close to 437mn and set your delay time by holding down the tap tempo and turning the delay time knob
Is the M13 good for performing U2 live? In BDay we have to change effects all the time, you change them by hand and stop playing during the changes - that's not the best idea for playing live ;)
Hi, Great work these tutorials. It has forced me to go and buy a m13! Could you share the settings for the HARMONIC single notes at the start of beautiful day for a line 6 m13 fx unit?
