The last shot, the crying and utmost pride of knowing that England and Scotland's thrones are forever united with her son as the first to hold them (granted her grandson and great grandson somewhat screwed up, but schematics). And her descendants are still on the throne. They're no longer Stuarts, but they're still her blood.

The sad thing about all of this Mary, Queen of Scots life was sad, she got married to her first husband the Francis II king of France. They loved each other very much then Francis died, Mary had to return to Scotland to rule, then she met her second husband Lord Darnley, Mary did love him but he did not, Darnley wanted Mary for power but she didn’t allow him. He wanted the Crown Matrimonial so he could have equal power as Mary, she refused but they did have a son who became the future king after Elizabeth died.The person who got stabbed was Marys true friend and Marys future husband James Hepburn, Now Darnley wanted Mary and James to be together so they can arrest them for adultery, but when they came to find Mary and Rizzio there, not James they killed Rizzio instead. Darnley was murdered, they Suspect Mary had something to do with it and her Final husband, James Hepburn. Now remember, Mary fled to England she was only 25, and Elizabeth held Mary prisoner for 19 years, so Mary was 44 when she dead, when Elizabeth Signed Marys death warrant she wanted to take it back (after a few hours, I believe?) it was too late for Mary she already lost her head.

It's sad that Mary S and Elizabeth were forced to be rivals because of men. I like how you put a similarity with Mary S and Elizabeth with Mary T and Jane. All aware of the situation and the Tudor sisters regretting their decision to execute their cousins.

Omg, the scene where Elizabeth tries to save Mary, but is just a hair's breadth too late... I could not stop crying for a second. The reconciliation picked me back up, though. Oh God, all of these sweethearts had it rough one way or another. At least now, they know peace. 😔😭

It's sad really, Mary Queen of Scotland grew up without a father and away from her people. People often paint her as a villain, but she was a victim all along. The saddest part was that she had to leave her son an orphan when she was executed. In the end I'm glad we have James I, because Mary Stuart's blood lives on. Like Anne Boleyn, she was executed and then their children became very famous people.

For those of you who don't know the difference between Mary Queen of Scots and Bloody Mary. Mary of Scots was Elizabeth's 1st cousin and Bloody Mary was Elizabeth's sister. Hope this helps!

This has got to be my favorite six the kids animatic ever. I love MQoS because she’s such a mysterious and morally gray monarch and you never know wether the plots were real or forges from catholic conspiracies. I loved the emotions in this animatic from Mary blowing shit up to her frustrations at Elizabeth and to the execution as Mary kept her head high (no pun intended) and wore red (symbol of a catholic martyr) while Elizabeth’s guilt consumes her and will haunt her for the rest of her life. Mary and Elizabeth have such a complex relationship and this animatic really shows it, great job Arty-e!!

I am extremely uncultured in the subject of monarchy I just learned about Henry and the queens less than 6 months ago I didn’t even knew Bloody Mary was an actual person I don’t even know who James is why am i crYING

It actually took 3 swings to get her head off she she got hit in the back of neck and head twice and she could feel it all. Then when her head was lifted to show the crowd it fell out of her wig. There was also apparently a puppy playing under her skirt during all this.

This just proves How Beautiful of a woman she was. her and elizabeth

I love in this video and Jane grey's the moment they wake up in the afterlife and are revealed in their "Six" costume, with their choker. Not only is it great seeing the new costume that signifies fun and freedom, with their microphones signifying the voice they finally get to have and the ability to tell their own story, but the choker with their initial seems like a reclaiming of identity. There's nothing more dehumanizing than being held prisoner and executed. Getting the choker seems like acknowledging what happened but reclaiming your name and your identity within it. Maybe I'm reading too much into it , I know it's just based off Boleyn and Howard's chokers in the musical which is based off the B necklace but its just the interpretation I got from how you continued the theme.

Gosh I love this. Whenever people tell the story of Mary and Elizabeth, they always seem to paint one as the bad guy, when that wasn’t how things went down at all. You really capture how difficult the situation was for both these women and how, if things had been different, they could easily have been friends. And the art is BEAUTIFUL 😍

This could’ve been so much more gruesome if the botched execution was highlighted in this. It’s nice that it was left out though, would’ve disturbed the flow of the animatic.

The sudden face she makes at 0:56 really hit me in the feels Imagine someone you trusted (Like friends, family or love-life) suddenly show what they really clung onto you for, not for love, company, affection, but for your money, power, and reputation. This happened to me lots of times and it hurts thinking about it

OH MY GOD I FUCKIN STARTED CRYING AT THE END😭😭 and like I NEVER EVER cried on a song, a video or anything... But imagine the happiness she felt. After all those years suffering, after being beaheaded by her biggest rival and instead of succeeding her plans and winning she lost her life she finally learnt that her son became the King of England. Her life was maybe hard. But at the end she was a winner and I think of her as a winner in history. No matter that she "lost" to Elizabeth. Her descendants got the throne at the end. After her death she SUCCEEDED her goals.

I just realized something! Anne was beheaded but had the last laugh when Lizzie came onto the throne and ruled with that iron fist of hers, and so did Mezza with James when she was beheaded pffffft wow. Not the first time history repeated itself with the Tudors.

Honestly, my favourite part of this is Elizabeth's reluctance and freaking out over the execution order. It's honestly my favourite historical moment, and the fact that you included it is super cool.

The idea of a second Six is really interesting, with Edward, Grey (/Gray), Mary, Elizabeth, Scots, and maybe James (The son of Mary Queen of Scots). Sure, generations crossing seems a little weird, but hey, it's either that or an uneven 5. I feel like the songs and colors would work best like this: Edward (Dark Teal): A song that starts off cheerful, but starts to descend into sorrow (much like the end of Don't Lose Ur Head). Grey (

This animation is very well done, tbh I would encourage reading up on Mary QoS to anyone interested in history. It's like reading the plot of a Shakespearean play.

I love all your animatics! I'm also really interested in the historical side of Six, and I was actually way into the Tudors before I even heard of the musical. It's so exciting to see animatics like this and someone who shares my interests. The attention to detail is really what gets me - thanks!

For those of you confused about what just happened here is a summary. Mary’s father died when she was 6 days old and supposedly predicted that the Scottish throne started with a woman and will end with a woman. Mary was originally married to Francis II the heir to France, but he died so Catherine de Medici, her mother in law, basically sent her back home to Scotland. Mary was soon smitten with Lord Darnley who was suggested by Robert Dudley funny enough and thought he loved her too but was actually more in love with her power as Queen. She began a good friendship with David Rizzio, and Darnley thought it was either an affair or just jealousy. He then plotted with some of his men to kill David in front of Mary as she tried her hardest to fight them off but they forced her to watch poor David get stabbed. Darnley was then killed by James Hepburn and Mary was suspected to have been in on it as well because she married Hepburn after Darnley’s death and had motive since he killed her friend and secretary. However, the public decried this and sought Mary’s abdication and had taken her son, James away from her. She then sought refuge in England ruled by her first cousin once removed, Elizabeth, but was instead put under house arrest as she was a threat since she was the technical next line on the throne. She then engaged in conspiracy with the Babington Plot to kill Elizabeth, but was caught. She was then executed, but Elizabeth was hesitant and according to some sources, her death warrant letter has been taken and ordered without her permission hence why she is so shocked and horrified in the animatic to find the paper missing. Mary wore red as it is a color of Catholic martyrdom and after both Mary and Elizabeth died, Mary’s son, James became the first monarch of a United Great Britain.

I watched the movie Mary Queen of Scouts, and while watching it I felt both Mary and Elizabeth throughout the whole movie. They were both queens but one was being framed while the other ruled with authority. This is a masterpiece and shows how Mary story goes. I love how she just had a sort of confidence throughout the whole video. That ending was beautiful between Elizabeth and Mary (also James). You are truly talented for making these videos.

I love how you show Elizabeth’s regrets and the extreme lack of Fucks Mary gave (I’m related to a well known Scottish Clan, The McCullums, they didn’t like Mary as she was a Lowlander and considered unable to control them. My family is highlanders and rebelled against the English constantly. It’s why a few of us were kicked out and ended up in Australia) Scottish history is so interesting to me, especially Mary. Such a badass, with an extreme case of not giving a single fuck

1:54 fun fact: I see this conflict in opposite way.for Elizabeth who already had her worst years in life, and her story was near to end, Maria (Stuart is Maria, Tudor is Mary, Mary Seymour is mary Seymour, Okay? Okay) was a light, this perfect version of herself. She had a crown, a husband, a kid, many friends who Elizabeth already lost (or was getting ready to lost) plus she was always beautiful. She didn’t knew about all traumatizing stuff what happened to her, Maria was last Elizabeth’s relevant who she trusted and loved. even after false betrayal, she still loved her. and in last seconds when axe was ready to cut off head of her dearest person, Elizabeth realized what now because of her, this little boy will grow up all alone, with beheaded mother, just like……she did.
