1080P professional up-scale test from an old NTSC VHS video tape from 1985. Yes I know upscaling to HD from an old low quality VHS tape, will not make the result HD, by any means. But I have been experimenting with various techniques to get the best possible quality from these old tapes, and this is by far the best capture I have managed to do. This is the result using a high-end VHS player as the source, and captured in H264 1080P at 16 Mbps, through an up-scaler. I'm not exactly sure how much the RU-vid algorithms will destroy the efforts, but I think this is about the best quality it's possible for me to squeeze out of this old VHS, at the moment. BUT.... I have one more thing to try.... a "detailer" that is supposed to work wonders with the sharpness, which is the biggest problem with this capture. I still have to find a high quality one though, at a reasonable price.
