@@ani-so1uk agreed I found a way to detangle my hair so it wasn’t pulling or hurting but I can’t part my hair at all, which is annoying when I want to do cute hairstyles.

@@alwayyssgone I put condtioner and water in my hair as a prepoo and usually let it sit for a few hours (make sure you detangle after putting it in), but even if you only let it sit for an hour or even half an hour it should do the trick.I also brush thru my hair when I put my conditioner in after I shampooed with a detangling brush. Also before you get out the shower put leave in conditioner in your hair. You use less product and I feel like my curls are more defined when I do that.

There are plenty of heat/chemical free ways to have fun with the curl of your hair. Twist outs, braid outs, straw sets, curl formers, bantu knot outs, flexi rods, roller sets...the list goes on and on! I'd consider playing with these before the chemical treatments that permanently change your hair (i.e texturizers). At least with the former, you can revert back to your original hair texture easily (because afro hair is beautiful!) 💃🏾

As far as I know, I am 100% Blackity black black! Our hair, contrary to popular belief, does come in a variety of textures, which I think are all gorgeous!
