Pauly’s Island, wow. I remember hearing about that in a campfire story many years ago. That sand can really take a person down. Sad story but people say they see him before a hurricane turns towards the island. Lots of history in that area. Thanks or taking us along.

I was there 1979, young girl with a 8 month old, single struggle 😢. Wow this has of course changed. Thank you for the look around. I think I stayed on the beach, motel 6. They let me clean rooms for my 3night stay. Thankful my life changed for the very good. 😊
Loved this video. Great to see my old work area. I used to do maintenance and remodeling of all the Little Cricket and Scotchman stores. We traveled 8 states. Fun times. 🐾🙏🏻✌🏻
We live in Conway and have followed you since before you sold the house, about the same time we bought our own RV. Awesome to see you guys driving through our backyard Lol, wish you could have stayed longer. It's a shame Myrtle Beach is really not RV friendly ... unless you don't mind the expensive campgrounds, even during the off-season.

The former Wurtsmith AFB in my area closed after Desert Storm. They repurposedsed a lot of the buildings. Moved some houses that were sold off. My son's girlfriend bought one side of one of the many duplexes still here. Kalitta Air uses several hangars for for their company, but to my understanding the AF can reclaim in an emergency. There's also still a hangar just for them. Lot of people moved from town, businesses had to close due to lack of people after the base itself closed.
We moved off Edwards air force base in 1996 in the California mojave desert . the house and neighborhood I grew up in are all torn down. So I can't even go visit my old house or neighbor hood. Its all desert now. Like it was never there. Very sad. At least your house still stands.
You're so close to Edisto Island, you should visit there if you have time. Edisto Beach is heaven on earth. There is a state park there too, So enjoyed seeing all the places I have visited over the years. I live in Columbia.
I remember when you and Scott and Terri cleaned it out and worked in the yard. It looks nice. I always go by my old home when I’m in the state near it. Fun to see but brings up so many memories.

I so enjoyed the time you and Destination Open Road cleaned up after the messy tenant and got it ready for sale. What a job that was. As I am sure you saw, 17 is wild and wooly. Oh gee this was fun to watch as haven't been to that area. From what I hear places where you go and eat have been going up in prices as well as add things to the bill. Ausia, I cannot believe you sold for 73,000 in 2019. Now, that house is worth $212,000. You should just keep it and rent it out for 10-15 years then sold it make profit.
Yeah.. at the time, I was very frustrated with my situation 😤 but now I have the new awesome property, and that might not have happened if I hadn't sold. 😊👍

You should see what's happened to campground rates around the Great Smoky Mt. NP, even the Townsend KOA is 100+, forget about Gatlinburg + PF. Do have 3 nights in June inside the park for $15/nt with the ATB pass.
Time really does fly. Hard to believe it's been that long since you sold the house. Looked good. Yum breakfast, pricey. I like Myrtle and Huntington Beaches, my favorite is the Rock Hill area, and Hwy 11. Glad y'all are having decent weather. 🙂👍

Shocked have swans public place. They will brutally attack protect their young. I'm guessing they are removing eggs but that's even risky. Swans mates for life
I bet it was northerners that bought your family home. Pine trees are old familiar trees 🌲 … us northerners are looking for 🌴 😂 Still, I would hate to see _any_ full grown trees cut down.
@@rvpandamonium - We used to have a small farm that we raised up from nothing but a bare field … planted fruit trees, windbreaker trees, nice garden plot, etc. Years later, we sold the place to a young family that quickly chopped everything down to “make it their own”… Understandable, I suppose… but so sad. 😔 Took many years just watching and waiting for some of those trees to fruit! All gone. 😢
That weird dome thing you mentioned would be like a Kaiser Gypsum or Domtar plant where they make things like side wall and stuff...They are usually around paper plants , industrial areas like it was in my old home town...Surprised there isnt something like a Fiberboard plant there also....Having worked in an industrial town and a steel mill (U.S. Steel) for 42 yrs its always kind of interesting to see the same stuff in other areas....Thanks for sharing it...Travel safe, be well...
NO swimming or wading. Feet must be super glued to paddle board. If you notice a paddle board that appears to be upside down moving around like a bobber, please contact fire/rescue.
