I didn't understand your question. Can you please elaborate it? Partition key is the index.

@@RahulAhire yeah so if primary key is composite of partition + sort key, partition key by itself is still indexed and optimized for queries, right?

@@GovindSingh-v4m9t Here's a better way to think about - If your table only has partition key, its just one index. If there's Partition and sort key (aka composite key) the way it works is you call partition or pk+sk. DynamoDB is sort of key value, where passing the value of key is mandatory.
