Good Old Sharjha Days !! Afridi scored 70 off 43 balls with 7 Fours & 6 Sixes and Imran Nazir scored 35 off 46 balls with 4 Fours. This is the 3rd match of ARY Gold Cup.
@@toocheaptobuycolognes3681 thats because after 2011 wc hhis role was of a finisher rather than a batsman and came for slogging only whhich resulted in many wicket ruining his average
@@kid_assassinyt9 He's been told hundreds of times by his coaches and team mates to not slog at every ball, and to play more conservatively. He's never listened to any of their advice. He's a failure as a batsman.
That was the best pak team which had quality batsmen ( anwar inzi afridi ijaz ahmad ) & quality bowlers ( wasim waqar shoaib razzaq) & spinners ( saqlain mushtaq etc). Miss those days.
@@pakhorsesofficial6688 I am from India, but I can tell you Pak batting and bowling is very strong as compared to India. Very Very hard to beat Pak cricket team.
Imran with his unique batting style and impeccable timing was one of my favourite players. I always wished him to be the replacement for giant of a player like Saeed Anwar. Unfortunately it never happened and another player was lost of petty politics of PCB.
Pakistan should have never let Afridi bat so low down the order later.. he was so entertaining as opener... Played in t20 mode way way before t20 was introduced.... N Imran Nazir was also brilliant opener... Why didn't they got more chances I never know..
What a team. The team in which wasim akram is captain, the team in which inzamam is captain are really concrete cricket team. In which we have interest and we know they can change the game.
Afridi should have opened for many more years. His hitting talent was wasted by batting at #6 or #7. He was an amazingly entertaining and dangerous opener.
Mujhy aaj bhi yaad ha jub tak afridi crese py majood hota tha hamari umeed zinda hoti thi chahy match jitna bhi out of reach ho.... Chachy hum match harny waly bhi hoty tub bhi humy umeed hoti thi k "abhi afridi rehta ha"....ur afridi k out hoty hi saari hopes bhi out ho jati thi...ur tv off....
Bro but he did had an chance to score more runs because of powerplay he was a clean hitter of the bowl ! Not a slogger he had really good batting technique it's the mindset that matters if Afridi played more test matches he might have got over 5k runs + 300 wickets !
boom boom simply murdered the nz bowling line up and he didn't even realise for once that he was playing against a good formidable team but such was the power of time in cricket that the pak team was absolutely an aggressive strong team.
Sharjah cup was always a treat to watch where teams like Pakistan India West Indies Sri Lanka New Zealand and South Africa would always participate / miss those days that was the golden era of cricket the buzz during Sharjah champions trophy was just awesome
