Greatest ‘Parda’ is ‘Haya’ and not being covered by tons of garment. Haya refers to lowering one’s eyes in front of our elders and avoiding gaze at indecency. Haya applies equally to both men and women. Men have hijacked this term to unjustifiably and conveniently apply to womenfolk only. In Hindu mythology there is mention of a father and son. Both were scholars of eminence and enjoyed respect on that account. It is said that women folk would walk around uninhibited when son was around, but covered themselves and avoided gaze when the father was around. The father was annoyed and did not understand why this difference in behavior till somebody pointed to him that when his son was around women he would only gaze at their feet while the eyes of his father wandered elsewhere forcing women to cover themselves and scamper.
Please don't blame syed, makdoom ...shah.... bhat. ...Khan ... matoo... Hakim .... balki... etc etc these castes used to be define about profession that is it... ! only we made it specail!
