Dances of Spanish Influence: When the Spaniards conquered the Philippines, trade began between Spain and Mexico. These dances show the elegance of Europe and Spain through the music of the Rondalla, with women in elegant gowns and long shirts worn by men (Barong Tagalog).
Jota Caviteno: Men perform a jota featuring bamboo castanets and stomping feet.
Paypay: Young women perform with native fans.
Panderetas: The sounds of the panderetas, or tambourines, enhance this jota dance for men and women.
