Hello !! Here is the slightly terrifying new video for “ a song for the drunk and broken hearted” which is the title track from my new album (which if you missed the announcement - comes out in January and is available to pre-order from www.passengermusic.com ) I’m a massive fan of the recent joker movie and also the batman trilogy and this song felt like the perfect excuse to dress up as a clown and make everybody feel a little bit uncomfortable … (because this year hasn’t been uncomfortable enough ….😅) I really love this song , for me it tries to capture how depressing sitting in a pub and drinking can be when you’re not with the right people or in the wrong frame of mind . I feel like getting drunk just magnifies how you already feel so if you’re miserable to start with its a tough gig . The clowns (other than being scary and weird) represent the idiotic and exhausting expectation that people should "put on a smile" or a "brave face" … even when things are tough . We’re taught to do it from early age and I think its probably the root of a lot of unhappiness …. I went through a rough time whilst writing these songs and my hope is that they resonate with people going through something similar . A huge thank you to my new band ( btw we’re called "clown daddy and the broken hearts” and we’re available for weddings / bah mitzvahs etc….😇) and the incredible team of people that helped bring this video together ! I saw Passenger live in Vancouver of 2016 at the Orpheum, I met Mike outside the side of the venue as he and his band were leaving, I got to shake his hand and tell him how he inspired me to start singing and playing acoustic guitar. I got Mike to sign the back of my ticket, "It was very nice to meet you Adrian, all the best and well wishes. - Mike xoxo". I was 12 when I accidentally discovered Passenger, I'm 25 now, thank you Mike and the band for all that you do. Please, keep it up ❤

I can relate myself with this song. A lonely drunk joker for the world, but deep inside a depressed soul, like as me who still now looking for a miracle which is actually not possible anymore 😞 time flies too fast.
