Talking about busking, I am not one and I have a very busy job. However, I started learning a bit of guitar and singing/music. I would like to create a trust for the city of Edinburgh UK to help buskers who live in Edinburgh (well, that is just a future project). Please do let me know of any relevant problem facing buskers that such a trust can fund. I talked to one busker already and he says one problem is to try to stop too high amplification which swallows the sound of nearby fellow buskars. Another problem, that I thought of, is to increase the interactiveness of the audience. I notice that in the UK the audience is rather shy, passive and almost aloof, though they throw in cash, but I think they should be more encouraging. Maybe my first step when I create this fund is to sponsor a busker who plays for a few days and make speeches about having a more "Afro-Asian" attitude regarding street music. One girlfriend mentioned that the fund should be able to lend them a little interest-free money sometimes when they really need it, but that is scary as there is no way to guarantee that they ever return it. We shall all go some day, and this will be my way of helping those who help themselves my own little bit.
I was here with my school trip from Holland. It was at the point that we could walk through the city by ourselves and then we heard and saw him. That was really cool and very nice!
A great artist! Maybe my computer is having problems or my audio, an "Altec Lansing" system I bought used as this keeps fading out so had to stop listening.
