Apparently the young male driver of the blue car was upset that I passed him before the merge. Honestly, I hung back a bit, waiting for him to get up there, but he would never get going. So I did. He didn't like that. LOL
You’re the one that was supposed to slow down and have him go in front since he was in the left lane while you were in the right at an upcoming merge on the right. You bolting through in a merging section like that is a danger when the blue car had the right of way. Granted the blue car did pass in an unsafe way that was way worse as well cutting the yellow line since he was angry.
Florida law states that you are not supposed to be in the left lane unless you are passing. He was not doing so. I passed him. At the merge point I was ahead of him. He only sped AFTER the merge. I did nothing wrong at all. If he really wanted to be ahead of me he would have gotten moving before that. He was going very very slow.
You are wrong. If the person in left lane is not passing or using adequate speed for traffic, he is in violation of section 316.081(3), Florida Statutes, requires that drivers drive in the right-hand lanes to prevent impeding the flow of traffic resulting in dangerous driving situations.
