I remember when trail biking used to be a kind sport. If I was stopped, people would as if I was OK or if they could help, or say that there were other riders coming. Not anymore....they just blaze on by and don't say a word, ear buds in and self absorption on max setting.
@@jayanderson6016 Thats why I love my local trail. There’s not much to it and its pretty mellow but people will stop and ask if im okay even if im checking if my wheels are true. I have never met anyone entitled on those trails, hiker or biker.
Had a kid think he was hot shit on his Walmart bike barely missed me on purpose and then crashed and bent it up lmao.. more power to you but show respect. Especially to people stronger than you.
I slowly await a reality where people realize that all of these fake internet skits aren’t real and they can stop turning their daily interactions with strangers into random reasons to be upset because they saw a meme.
@@ImortalZeus13 most people know theyre not real, we're salty because they make up these dumbass skits for arguments they have in their head with imaginary people because they think theyre the center of the universe
Why the fuck did you call it an "acoustic bike"? That's just wrong on so many levels. Listen, it's either an electrical bike, or a bicycle, it's not a guitar.
The only real issue I have with ebikers is that, they skew stats on trail forks. There is no way to differentiate an Ebike from non ebike. So when I am trying to see how good I do on a trail time wise, and I get what I think is a good time, let's say, 10 minutes on a trail, which I think is good, and see the the names at the top all did the same trail in 4 minutes, and their speed is like 20 - 25 MPH average speed?! NFW on that trail without e power. I can't see where I stand against others not on ebikes.
@@dr07828 Some people really are that good. My bike guy who keeps my stuff in tip top shape can fly down those trails and makes E-bikers look like their engines broke down. Though I totally agree: What's the point of a scoring system if the only people able to compete are those with E-bikes and the rare exceptional athlete?
This rich kid challenged me to a race with his e-bike thinking he'd win because of the bike I just looked at him and said ight bring it on... And then proceeded to smoke his ass on my acoustic bike
@@inventiveowl395 Yeah, I have passed some ebikers up short hills and it is a pretty awesome feeling! I had to go full sprint and wouldn’t have been able to hold it for long but it was satisfying nonetheless…
I think ebikes are a good solution for people who wanna get into cycling more, or have a reason to not use an acoustic bike, whatever that may be. But I dislike the kind that zooms past me with barely a heads up and going 25km/h lmfao
i mean not totally the same but i got an electric longboard and a biker was about to pass me and i didnt hear them and it scared the shit out of me when i saw them for some reason and ended up just going full speed and thats around 50km/h on a 30km/h speed limit for cars lmao
@@KingMazza At least in EU most ebikes are limited to 25 kmph. It's quite easy to go faster on a regular bike, but on a busy track or road 25kmph is still a lot. You are a fast runner. Usain Bolt's top speed was 37kmph.
In japan, I got an ebike while my husband got and his friends get road bikes. We don’t have a car and I knew I wanted to have the freedom to go anywhere I wanted by myself without having to pay so much for taxi (there isn’t a lot of public transpo where we live), it was the perfect choice. Their bikes don’t have baskets or places to put panniers. While mine had two baskets. Guess who has the most valuable bike during costco runs. While I am young and fit enough to ride a normal bike, and I did for a while-riding up slopes, shopping, and wanting to wear long dresses/skirts while also not being sweaty when I get to my destination really made me want to have, and finally get an ebike. For general commute or if you want to just enjoy the view on the bike trail, ebikes are awesome… but if you want to bike for fitness or sport, obviously go for the non-e-bikes. I find having both to be great.
@@GeorogosBasically whats the point of calling it a bicycle, when they're typically made to improve your fitness whilst having fun. An e-bike is just an electric dirt bike.
True, the ebiker gradualy goes down the hill, the acoustic guy disconnects his own brakes and goes down the hill at 115mph killing all the other bikers on the trail
biking is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. if you e-bike that’s okay, if you bike normally that’s okay, do what you want as long as it doesn’t effect others
@@diamondcreepah e-bikes are still environmentally friendly. Of course the production of batteries and motors is not so great for the environmnent but electric motors are much more efficient than human body. So the carbon footprint per mile is actually less for an e-bike than a normal bicycle.
As a national level runner, sometimes on my long runs ebikes pass me and say "on your left" so I pass them back and say "on your left" Gets them every time because they don't actually have any speed or endurance, so they can't go faster than the motor's max speed.
Yeah for sure you are running 25+ kmh on your long runs. That would be much faster than the world record speed of 42 km marathon. Stop making up so much bullshit guys 🤦♂️
@@Tom-15 Yo buddy chill out and think about what i said. I normally run pretty slow, especially now during the off season, but sometimes i pick it up when bikes pass me as a joke. Never faster than 4 minute miles. (24 kph) I normally also sprint up hills, because i get really bored during my runs, and i prefer sprinting to running. I would love it if i could go that fast for more than a mile though, I would be up there with the big guys. ✌
nah bruh the jealous acoustic rider is literally the definition of my friends bro. I literally asked for an E-Bike for my birthday as like one of the only gifts, and my friends are always like : bro can i ride? bro can i try? and i refuse, i have a problem with asthma so having an E-Bike is kind of Nice, ( i dont over use it, because that is wasting battery ) And when i refuse, they say bruh your so selfish, or your cheating and say something like when i pass them or they pass me, they'll say " CHEAT BIKE " I Am honestly Getting pissed, like they know i have a problem with asthma, like damn bro chill.
I think e-bikes are an amazing tool to assist those who can’t properly ride a bike if your older or have a condition that makes it hard. Also really nice for commutes but I think if your physically capable of riding a bike an e-bike is kinda ehhh
Lmfao video poster "Look at these Karen's don't they know the entire trail is mine and everyone has to work around it"... Yeah they are the Karen's *eyeroll*
Honestly why would you buy an electric bike I don't understand... Buy motorcycle lol. When I go ride a bike I don't want to just sit and do almost nothing, it is not fun when you are getting that big of a worthelss help in my opinion you just waste your money
@@radekhornychI don't want a motorcycle cause they're too fast, dangerous, expensive, and require me to get a whole separate license and car insurance. An ebike is slower, safer, cheaper, better for the environment and doesn't require a license. It also lets me ride on trails and commute easily while having fun.
@@ScyllasSimp "better for the environment" So how does your country create energy? And normal bikes are also slower and more fun and even more eco friendly and you actully do something with your body
How about a guy whose already in shape and just wants to ride an e-bike in peace? If I could I’d spin kick the taste buds out of you for saying irrelevant shite just to give people a hard time
I'll be the hiker Karen. Not gonna yell at you but glancing over with disrespect if you get to close to my dog because no one could hear you coming 😂 otherwise I'm gonna be the silent hiker and hope you can control your bike
I have yet to meet an ebiker who can pass my Time VX while riding on asphalt with no hills. But there was this one E-skateboard thing that had the same top speed as me.
Any decent ebikes can smoke a normie bike any fucking day of the week. And there are newer bikes which go past a kilo watt. Good fucking luck racing against that beast
@@iamrobot396 Carbon fiber racing bikes are not "normie" bikes. You make it sound like I'm talking about some random kid's bike that fell off the back of an RV. Most of Time's models are engineering marvels, and have been used by the likes of UCI pro tour team Brioches La Boulangere. At a bike weight of only 16 lbs, with 700x25 Vittoria tires, plus a moderate exercise regimen, I have outperformed and continue to outperform E-bikes. If that upsets you then maybe you should start riding real bikes too. That's all completely aside from the point that you're acting like it's somehow badass to beat a human powered bike on a glorified Hoveround.
@@michaelstratton5223 dude get a reality check. No human powered bike is gonna beat a E-Bike putting out insane power and torque out of the wazoo. It's nothing personal against your capabilities as I like to use my E-Bike mostly without assist too but too say you haven't seen ebikes beating you is such an ego trip.
@King Prickard and by time if you mean when I’m 90, then yeah your probably right! 🤣 If your young and fit and use an E bike then your a freaking snowflake! Period.
@@mikerotchburns1622 Your right but overall they will get you, if there’s climbing involved (which is XC) EVERY-TIME the only way you have a chance is on the downhill. Overall you cant compete. It sucks trust me, I hate E bikes. They’re for p*ssys💯
Depends on which one you use, for example I work for trek retail. If you want long distances there is the rail which has 625-750 watt hours depending on the model but weights about 55-50 pounds, then there's the fuel exe that came out which has 360 watt hours and weights from 44-40 pounds and the motor is completely quiet. If you want to get any lighter there's the e-caliber which weights 40-36 pounds plus you can replace the battery/motor so that it weighs even lighter and rides like an analog bike. Wouldn't recommend that one though as the controller on that isn't the best and trek is looking to phase out that drive system
