wow, I think I just understood the lyrics completely for the first time. I've been listening to the original and this cover for a long time, but now it makes sense to me 100%. I feel so happy. Really truly happy.
(Lyrics) And you said, it was like fire around the brim Burning solid, burning thin the burning rim Like stars burning holes right through the dark Flicking fire like saltwater into my eyes You were one inch from the edge of this bed I dragged you back a sleepyhead, sleepyhead They couldn't think of something to say the day you burst With all their lions, with all their might and all their thirst They crowd your bedroom like some thoughts wearing thin Against the walls, against your rules, against your skin My beard grew down to the floor and out through the doors Of your eyes, begonia skies like a sleepyhead, sleepyhead
this is tight! they played this on alt nation a few weeks back on boombox radio. but the original version is probably the best song ive heard of this decade!
@BladeAndSoul I TOTALLY AGREE! There is another cover of Sleepyhead that sounds AMAZING! I think covers of Sleepyhead work extremely well because it already sounds like a cover.
has anyone listened to the young and sick remix on Spotify Or through RU-vid or soundcloud or whatever else to listen to it through. It sounds really good too.
this is good remix. it's like a calm and cool take on the original. It's wonderful for people who love smooth calm songs. People who want high energy music may not be as interested in it though.
@starryeyedellie "...hoíche Fhéile Eoin ní thiocfaidh mé aniar", it's Irish. The part she's humming actually is sung in the original song, it's "Óró mo churraichín ó". The lyrics are taken from Óró Mo Bháidin by Mary O'Hara.
the album cover looks like an EP with the remixes of sleepyhead and better things. But I can find only the first! Is there any link to better things remix?
This is my favourite Passion Pit song, and I love Ellie Goulding, but I definitely prefer the Passion Pit version to this. It's very good though, really different. I see them both in a month!
