In my last video, I have shown how to calculate component values of a Crossover network .
By using the said equations, I have found values of a Subwoofer network of 4 ohms impedance and crossover frequency at 120 Hz.
To get inductor value of 7.5 mH, a few more turns were required. Once the right value is set for a particular bobbin size, the weight of the wire should be noted for making similar coils.
For 8 ohms Subwoofer, the inductor value will be half (i.e. 3.75 mH) and capacitor value should be double. Two 1000 mfd capacitors can be used for that. Minor variations in values do not make much difference.
This net work can handle power upto 300 watts. For higher power, thicker guage of wire may be used.
